Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X4 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used LD Remington Portable & Simply Glamorous
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
50 Shades Bundle by DesignsBySarah
I used the awesome artwork of Keith Garvey
You will need a license from PTE to use his work.
Please do not use Keith’s work without purchasing a license first
Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400×400 and flood fill with white
Open Shades Frame 1 from the kit, resize to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer onto your white canvas
Image, Free Rotate, Right by 90 degrees
Open your paper of choice I used Darker paper 2
Copy and paste as a new layer
Move below your frame layer on your layer palette
With your freehand selection tool (settings below)
Selection type: Point to point / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather & Smoothing: 0 / Anti-Alias: checked
Draw a selection round the edge of your frame
Selections, Invert
Ensure you are on the paper layer, press delete on your keyboard
Selections, None
Open Darker Print 2, resize to 350 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer
Move below the paper layer
Position over to the left of you canvas
Erase any parts that show on the right hand side of your frame
Open Darker Print 1 and resize to 375 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Image, Free Rotate, Right 90 degrees
Position so its sticking out from teh right side of the frame
Open Shades Branch 3, resize by 60%
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position over the black print on the left hand side
Add a drop shadow of choice I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 70 / Blur: 8.91 / Color: Black
Erase any parts to the right or bottom of the frame
Open Shades Branch 1
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position over the print on the right
Add the same drop shadow
I selected one leaf and promoted to layer
I then moved that layer above the frame
Erase any parts to the left and bottom of your frame
Activate the paper layer
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Resize if needed
Erase any parts of the tube that are outside the frame
Duplicate your tube
On the original
Effects, Plugins, Xero – Porcelain use the default settings
Change the blend mode to Luminance (legacy)
On the copy
Change the blend mode to Soft Light and lower the opacity to about 60
Add any additional elements to make your tag YOURS
Add the same drop shadow to each element
Activate the frame and add the drop shadow
Select your text tool and choose a bold font
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name
Add the same drop shadow as used on your elements
Change your font to a scripty one
Set your background to another color of choice, keep your foreground on null
Add your name again
Position over your previous name
Convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow again
Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the white background
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png

Supplies needed:

Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Buffet Script
WSL_Mask219 by Chelle
Eye Candy 5: Nature – Ripples
Lullaby kit by CreationzByJo (a DSI exclusive kit) or kit of choice
I used the awesome artwork of Helena Reis
You will need a license from DSI to use her work.
Please do not use Helena’s work without purchasing a license first
Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400×400 and flood fill with white
Open the Heart Ribbon and resize to 400 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas
Move the heart down slightly, don’t worry about the ‘tails’ of the ribbon
Select your ‘Change to target’ brush (located in a drop down next to your paint brush)

Set your foreground to a color of choice from your tube
Recolor the heart ribbon
Open the Pond and resize to 350 pixels wide

Copy and paste as a new layer
Move below the Heart Ribbon on the layer palette
Position the pond so the base of the heart ribbon sits in the center
Grab your selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: checked
Draw a selection round the ‘tails’ of the heart ribbon
Selections, Modify, Feather by 5 pixels
Making sure you have the Heart Ribbon layer active
Press delete on your keyboard
Selections, None
Reposition the Heart Ribbon if needed
Still with the Heart Ribbon layer the active one
Grab your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (Shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: checked
Select inside the heart
Selections, Modify, expand by 2 pixels
Add a new raster layer, move below the Heart Ribbon layer
Copy and paste a paper of choice into the selection – I used paper 3
Selections, None
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Position within the heart
Resizing if needed
Add a drop shadow of choice I used:
V: 2 / H: 7 / Opacity: 75 / Blur: 14.85 / Color: Black
With your selection tool (same settings as before)

Draw a selection round any tube that is at the top of the heart
Selections, Promote selection to layer
Move the promoted layer to the top of the layer palette
On the original tube layer, press delete on your keyboard
Selections, None
Erase any tube that is below the Heart Ribbon
Open a set of the DoodleFlowers, I used DoodleFlowers2
Copy and paste as a new layer
Move to the top of your layer palette
Position on the right hand side
I erased one of the flowers but this is optional
Duplicate and Image, Mirror
Erase all but one flower on the left hand side
Add a drop shadow of choice to both sets of DoodleFlowers I used
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 65 / Blur: 5 / Color: Grey (#404040)
Open the LullabyString and resize to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position so it looks like it’s attached to 2 of your doodle flowers
You may have to move the flowers slightly
Apply the same drop shadow to this layer as you did to your doodle flowers
Activate the Heart Ribbon and add the same drop shadow
Activate your white background and add a new raster layer
Selections, All
Copy and paste another paper of choice into the selection – I used paper 12
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load from Disk
Look for WSL_Mask219 or a mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask all checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Move the masked layer up and to the right slightly
Duplicate this layer
Move the duplicate over to the left
Hide the white background and crop away any excess canvas
Unhide the white background again
Activate your pond layer

Add 3 new raster layers name them R1, R2 and R3
Activate R3
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy5: Nature – Ripples
Under settings choose Raindrops in Clean Puddles
Under Basic, use the settings below
Repeat the Ripples on layers R2 and R1 making sure you press the Random Seed button on each one
Activate your pond layer
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Selections, Invert
Activate R1 and press delete
Do the same for R2 and R3
Then hide layers R2 and R3
Change the blend mode on all 3 R layers to Soft Light
Select your text tool ad choose your font
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice (#406F84)
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy with size and placement, convert to raster
Add a drop shadow of choice I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 65 / Blur: 5 / Color: light shade of my text color (#9BB5BF)
Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Ensure layers R2 and R3 are hidden
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Open up Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new animation
Back to PSP
Hide R1 and unhide R2
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste after current frame
Back to PSP
Hide R2 and unhide R3
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste after current frame
Staying in AS
Edit, Select All
Animation, Frame Properties – set this to 25
Save as a gif file
All Done
