Supplies needed:
PSP – I usd PSPx2 but should work in any version
Tube of choice
Font of choice – I used MTF Eva’s Hand
Penta.com – Jeans
Xero – Radiance & Porcelain
WSL_Mask39 by Chelle
No Drama Template
I used the awesome artwork of Ismael Rac
You will need a license from Xeracx to use his work
Please do not use Ismael’s work without purchasing a license first.
Open the NoDramaTemplate, press shift+D to duplicate and close the original
Delete the INFO LAYER
Activate the Background layer and add a new raster layer
Flood fill the new layer with a colour of choice from your tube
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load mask from disk
Look for the WSL_Mask39
Source luminance, Fit to canvas and hide all layer – checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Select your Pick/Deform tool
Drag your canvas out so you have grey surrounding it
Drag the mask out on the right hand side
Then drag it out towards the top and again towards the bottom
Grab your selection tool and draw a selection round the left hand side of the canvas
With the mask layer active press delete on your keyboard
Selections, None
Still on the mask – Effects, Plugins, Penta.com – Jeans
Use the default settings: Amount – 62 / border width – 4
Activate the No Drama Text
Bring the opacity up to 100
Using your Manual Color Correction tool (mini tut {here})
Change the colour of the text to match your tube
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V-0 / H-6 / Opacity – 35 / Blur – 5 / Color – Black
Activate the Square Backs layer
Copy and paste your close up as a new layer
Image and Mirror
Position your tube so part of it is inside the top frame
Grab your magic wand with these settings:
Mode – Add (shift) / Match Mode – RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather – 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias- Checked
Activate the Square Backs layer again
Click on the top square with your magic wand
Selections, Invert
Activate your tube layer and press delete
Selections, None
Repeat for the bottom square too
Make sure your 2 tube layers are next to each other on the layer palette
Activate the top one and Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Adjust, Hue & Saturation, Colorize
Hue – 147 / Saturation – 0
Duplicate this tube layer twice
On the original lower the opacity right down to 28
On the first copy
Effects, Plugins, Xero – Porcelain
Use the default setting but change the Blue Channel to 128
Change the blend mode to Soft Light
On the top copyEffects, Plugins, Xero – Radiance
Use the default settings
Change the blend mode to Screen and lower the opacity to 44
Activate the Tone layer
Chnage the blend mode to Soft Light and lower the opacity to 50
Activate the Vertical Rectangle Frame
Click inside with your magic wand same settings as before
Selections, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
Add a new raster layer
Move the new layer below the Vertical Rectangle Frame Shadow layer on your layer palette
Flood fill with a colour/gradient/pattern/paper of choice
Selections, None
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Resize if needed – I resized by 75%
Position inside the Vertical Frame
Duplicate your tube layer
Move the copy above the frame on the layer palette
On the original
Erase any parts of the tube that are outside the frame
Activate the copy
Erase parts of the tube so some of it is outside the frame
Note: I draw a selection round the parts I was deleting
With your top tube the active layer still
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used: Lokas Software – 3D Shadow
Now erase any shadow that shouldn’t be there
Note: I draw a selection round the parts I was deleting
Grab your text tool and choose a font
Set your foreground to null and your background to a colour of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
Convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 5: Impact – Gradient Glow
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V-6 / H-0 / Opacity – 35 / Blur – 5 / Colour – Black
Add you artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Delete the white background layer
Now save as either a jpg or a png
