Red Wave

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X4 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I FFF Marquee
MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Xero – Porcelain & Radiance
I used the awesome artwork of Rebecca Röske
You will need a license from DSI to use her work
Please do not use Rebecca’s work without purchasing a license first
Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 600×200
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Effects, Plugins, MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Choose the Wall Paper (rotate)
Crop your canvas back to 600×200
Adjust, Blur, Radial Blur

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Move over to the right slightly
Effects, Plugins, Xero – Porcelain
Leave settings as they are but change the Blue Channel to 0
Duplicate your tube
On the copy
Effects, Plugins, Xero – Radiance default settings
Change the blend mode to Soft Light
With your selection tool, set to these settings:

Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Draw a selection round the background to the right of your tube
Make sure your background layer is the active one
Selections, Promote Selection to layer
Selections, None
Activate your top tube layer
Add a new raster layer
Flood fill with a color of choice
Selections, All, Modify, Contract by 1 pixel
Press delete on your keyboard once
Selections, None
Select your text tool and choose your font
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Foreground set to null, background to a color of choice
Add your name, position to the right of your tube
Play about with the blend modes till you find one that looks right
I used Soft Light
Add your artist copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Now hide all layers except your background layer
Make sure your background layer is the active one
Edit, Copy
Over to Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new animation
Effects, Insert Image Effect


Select Underwater
Wave 1: X: -14 / Y: 31
Wave 2: X: -27 / Y: 28
Wave 3: X: -6 / Y: -26
Wave 4: X: -64 / Y: 3
Wave 5: X: -36 / Y: -15
Wave 6: X: -27 / Y: 14
Wave 7: X: -45 / Y: -7
Wave 8: X: -35 / Y: -24
Wave 9: X: -37 / Y: 10
Wave 10: X: 0 / Y: 0
Scroll over to the first frame
Click on it and press delete
Back to PSP
Hide the background layer and unhide all other layers
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste as a new animation
On your water image (in AS)
Edit, Select All
Edit, Propagate Paste
Now, Edit, Paste into selected frame
Save as a gif file
All Done
