Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X3 but this will work in any version
Tube of your choice
Font of your choice
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Vix Mask 220, grab from Vix’s Site Here

I used the awesome artwork of Elias Chatzoudis, I purchased this Elias image when he was at MPT, Elias is not at PTE
Please do not use Elias’ work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 450 x 450 (a larger if you prefer a bigger tag)
Flood fill with white, rename this layer background
Add a new raster layer
Flood fill with a colour from your tube
Layer, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Find the Vix_Mask220
Source luminace, Fit to canvas and Hide all mask checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Rename Mask

Copy and paste your tube of choice as a new layer
Position so the top part of your tube is inside the frame

Duplicate your tube
Move the copy below your mask layer

Hide your copy of your tube for a minute
Activate your top tube
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used
Vertical – -2 (minus) / Horizontal – -5 (minus) / Opacity – 50 / Blur – 5 / Colour – Black
Grab your eraser tool, these are the settings I used:
Shape – Round / Size – 5 / Hardness – 50 / Step – 10 / Density & Thickness – 100 / Rotation – 0 / Opacity – 100
Carefully erase the bottom part of your tube that is coming out of the mask
Unhide your copy of your tube
With your freehand selection tool settings:
Selection type – Point to point / Mode – Add (Shift) / Feather & Smoothing – 0 / Anti-Alias – checked
Draw a selection round the bottom of your tube

Then make sure you have your bottom tube active and press delete on your keyboard
Selections, None

Grab your text tool and choose a bold font – I used Impact
Set your foreground to null, background to the colour you used for your mask layer
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Type out ‘GIMME A’ or another phrase of choice
Position at the top of the mask
Have this layer above your mask layer but below your top tube
When happy with the position, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add a drop shadow of choice
I used the same one as I used on my tube
At this point add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark

Open Animation Shop (AS)
In PSP, Edit, Copy Merged
Over the AS, Edit, Paste as a new animation
Back to PSP

Grab your text tool again, use the same font & settings as used for the GIMME A
Type the first letter of your name in capitals
Position at the bottom of your mask layer
Convert to raster
Add the same gradient glow and drop shadow
Edit, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste after current frame
Back to PSP

Add the next letter of your name
Line it up with the 1st letter
When happy, convert to raster
Add the same gradient glow and drop shadow
Hide your 1st letter
Edit, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste after current frame
Back to PSP

Continue like this until you have all the letter of your name pasted into AS
The number of frames should be equal the letters in your name + one
eg – if your name is Ange you should have 5 frames – 1 for each letter (4) and a blank one (the 1st frame should have NO Letters on it)

Back in PSP
Hide the last letter of your name
Also hide your main text – the GIMME A layer
With your text tool still, using the same settings
Type out ‘WATCHA GOT’
Position in the same place as your GIMME A text was
When happy the size and position, convert to raster
Add the same gradient glow and drop shadow

Edit, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste after current frame
Back to PSP

Leave the watcha got text as it
With your text tool, add your name in full (caps)
Position where your were putting your letters
When happy, convert to raster
Add the same gradient glow and drop shadow
Edit, Copy Merged

Over to AS
Edit, Paste after current frame
Staying in AS

Edit, Select All
Animation, Frame Properties, change this to 45
Check your animation
Crop away any excess
Save as a .gif file
All Done Yay 🙂
