Sparkling Princess

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X2 but this will work in any version
Image & Tube of your choice
Font of your choice
Xenofex 2 – Constellation
Lokas 3D Shadow – Optional

I used the awesome artwork of Jennifer Janesko
You will need a license from cdo to use her work
Please do not use Jennifer’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 500 x 200
If using an image
Selections, All
Copy and paste your image into selection
Selections, None

If using a tube
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Effects, Plugins, Mura’s – Copies
Choose Wallpaper (rotate) using the default settings
If you have some canvas not filled repeat the copies
Crop your canvas back to 500×200

Carry on from here 🙂
Adjust, Blur, Radial Blur

Repeat the blur
Effects, Edge Effects, Enhance
Duplicate and Image, Mirror
On the copy lower the opacity to about 50
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Duplicate your merged layer twice, giving you three (3) layers

Activate the original Merged layer
Effects, Plugins, Xenofex 2, Constellation

Activate Copy of Merged and repeat the Constellation, but press Random Seed
Activate Copy (2) of Merged and repeat the Constellation, but press Random Seed
Hide Copy of Merged & Copy (2) of Merged
Activate Merged
Duplicate then Image, Flip
Lower the opacity on the copy to 50
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible – rename 1
Repeat this for Copy of Merged and Copy (2) of Merged
Rename them 2 & 3

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Resize if needed
Add a drop shadow of choice to your tube
I used Lokas 3D

Add a new raster layer, flood fill with black or a very dark colour from your image
Selections, All, Modify, Contract by 3
Press delete
Selections, Modify, Expand by 1
Selections, Invert
Flood fill with a light colour from your image
Selections, Invert
Selections, Modify, Expand by 1
Selections, Invert
Flood fill with your dark colour
Selections, None
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used
V&H – 1 / Opacity – 100 / Blur – 6 / Colour – Black
Repeat the drop shadow changing the V&H to -1 (minus)

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer

Grab your text tool and choose a font – I used RedHeadGoddess
Set your foreground to null, background to a colour of your choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name
Use the nodes to angle and/or stretch your text if required
When happy convert to raster and add a drop shadow of choice
I used:
V&H – 1 / Opacity – 45 /Blur – 6 / Colour – Black
Change the blend mode to Overlay or one of your choice

You can now either save as a jpg/png or carry on to animate

To Animate
Ensure layers 2 & 3 are hidden
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a New Animation
Back to PSP

Hide layer 1 and unhide layer 2
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste after current frame
Back to PSP

Hide layer 2 and unhide layer 3
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste after current frame

You should have 3 frames in AS now
View, Animation
Save as a gif file
All Done 🙂
