Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X2 but this will work in any version
Tube of your choice
Font of your choice
Eye Candy 6 – Glass
Masks 193 & 198 from Insatiable Dreams (masks page 1 in zip masks 6)
Template 4 by Saskia
*Thanks Saskia for allowing me to upload to my site :)*

I used the awesome artwork of KT Bryan
You will need a license from cdo to use her work
Please do not use KT’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open Saskia’s template #4
Shift + D to duplicate and close the original
Delete the following layers – Copyright, Info, 15, 14, 11 & 10
Resize the canvas if you prefer a smaller finished tag
I resized to 400 wide, the increased the overall canvas to 425×425
Move the template to one side for a minute

Open a new canvas 300 x 50
Choose 3 colours from your tube
Using your paint brush paint the 3 colours onto this canvas

Move this to the side of your psp so you can see both this canvas and your template canvas

Back on your template
Activate the Background layer and add a new layer
We are going to create our own gradient
So set your foreground to Gradient and click on Edit

Now on the Gradient line, click the little tab (1st one)
Then click on the custom box and set it to your 1st colour

Repeat the same process for the end tab
Then click in the middle just under the gradient line to add an extra tab
Fill that with your 3rd colour

You can play about with settings, more of one colour, less of another
This is what I ended up with

Click Save As and name your gradient

Now set your foreground to this gradient – Linear, Angle & Repeats – 0
Flood fill your new layer with your gradient
Resize this layer by 90% – all layers Unchecked

Unhide all layers
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Position where you think it looks best
Resize if needed
I resized by 75% all layers unchecked
Add a drop shadow on choice – I used:

Or you could use Lokas 3D Shadow or one from Eye Candy
Grab your selection tool

*optional*
You can now move your rectangle and the small wavy lines further down your canvas
Or leave where they are whichever looks best to you
I moved my rectangle down slightly and placed the wavy lines at the bottom edge

Grab your text tool and choose your font – I used Feena Casual
Set your foreground to null and your background to one of your colours
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name, position inside the rectangle
Use the nodes to stretch it out if needed
When happy convert to raster
Play about with the blend modes on your text as one may look better than another
I used Screen, but it vary depending on the 3 colours you used to make your gradient

Last step now 🙂
Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg or
Delete the white background and save as a png

All Done 🙂
