Pink Pooch

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X2 but this will work in any version
3 Tubes of your choice
Font of your choice
Mura’s Meister – Cloud
Lokas – 3D Shadow *optional*
My Supplies {here}

I used the awesome artwork of Maryline Cazenave
You will need a license from cdo to use her work
Please do not use Maryline’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 600 x 250
Open the pattern I provided
Set your foreground to this pattern
Angle – 0 / Scale – 100
Flood fill your canvas with this pattern
Rename this Background

Choose 2 colours from your tube
Set the darker one to your foreground
Lighter one set as your background
Change your foreground to a gradient
Angle – 36 / Repeats – 3 / Style – Linear
Add a new raster layer, flood fill with your gradient
Lower the opacity of this layer to 67

Add a new raster layers
Effects, Plugins, Mura’s Meister – Cloud
Press reset if it’s not showing your foreground and background colour choice
Add a new layer, flood fill with your lighter colour
Selections, Load/Save Selection, Load selection from disk
Find the #JustFi_PinkPooch_01 selection
Source luminance & Replace selection checked
Press delete on your Solid colour layer
Press delete on your Clouds layer
Selections, None

Selections, Load/Save Selection, Load selection from disk
Find the #JustFi_PinkPooch_02 selection
Source luminance & Replace selection checked
Activate your cloud layer
Selections, Promote selection to layer
Activate your solid colour layer and press delete
Selections, None

Activate the promoted layer
Effects, Textures, Weave
Gap Size – 1 / Width – 9 / Opacity – 2 / Weave & Gap colour – White / Fill gaps – checked
Lower the opacity to 36

Activate your top layer (should be what is left of your solid colour)
Add a new raster layer
Selections, Load/Save Selection, Load selection from disk
Find the #JustFi_PinkPooch_01 selection
Source luminance & Replace selection checked
Flood fill with black
Selections, Modify, Contract by 2 pixels
Press delete on your black layer
Selections, None
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H – 0 / Opacity – 65 / Blur – 4 / Colour – Black
Repeat again but drop the opacity down to about 30

Copy and paste your first tube of choice
Move it below your frame layer on your layer palette
Selections, Load/Save Selection, Load selection from disk
Find the #JustFi_PinkPooch_01 selection
Source luminance & Replace selection checked
Selections, Invert
With your tube layer active press delete
Selections, None
If you have any tube left inside another frame, just erase it
Change the blend mode to Luminance (legacy) and lower the opacity to about 75

Repeat this step for your other two frames

Activate your frame layer
Copy and paste your main tube as a new layer
Resize if needed
Position where best suited to your tag
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used Lokas3D Shadow

Add a new layer above your main tube
Flood fill with black
Selections, All, Modify, Contract by 1 pixels
Press delete on your black layer
Selections, None
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H – 2 / Opacity – 60 / Blur – 8 / Colour – Black
Repeat the drop shadow changing the V&H to -2 (minus 2)
Duplicate to give a better looking shadow

Grab your text tool and choose a font – I used Carpenter ICG
Set your foreground to null and your background to your dark colour
Create as vector and anti-alias both checked
Add your name and position where happy
Use the nodes to stretch your text is needed
When happy with size and placement, convert to raster
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H – 0 / Opacity – 65 / Blur – 9 / Colour – your light colour
Repeat the drop shadow if needed

Add artists credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Save as jpg/png
Tag Done 🙂

Making The AV

Open a new canvas 150×150
Setting your foreground to your dark colour and your background to your light colour
Effects, Plugins, Mura’s Meister – Cloud
Grab your selection tool and click on custom selection
With these settings:

Flood fill the selected area with your light colour
Selections, Invert
Activate your cloud layer
Selections, Promote selection to layer
Selections, None
Change the blend mode to Soft Light or another of your choice

On the promoted layer
Effects, Texture Effects, Weave – with these settings:
Gap Size – 1 / Width – 7 / Opacity – 2 / Weave & Gap Colour – White / Fill gaps – checked
Activate the cloud layer
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Resize if needed

Duplicate your tube, hide the copy for now
On the original change the blend mode to Luminance (legacy)

Unhide your copy and move it above the promoted layer on your layer palette
Grab your selection tool and choose custom selection

Making sure you are on your copy of the tube
Press delete
Selections, None

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with black
Selections, All, Modify, Contract by 1 pixel
Press delete on your keyboard
Selections, None
V&H – 1 / Opacity – 60 / Blur – 8 / Colour – Black
Repeat the drop shadow changing the V&H to -1 (minus 1)

Add your text using the same process as for the tag
Add your artists credits
All Done 🙂
