Blue Goblin

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X4 but any version will do
Tube & Image of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Kolker Brush
MuRa’s Meister – Cloud & Copies
DSB Flux – Blast & Bubbles
Lokas Software – 3D Shadow

I used the awesome artwork of Martin Abel
You will need a license from cdo to use his work
Please do not use Martin’s work without purchasing a license first

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 600×200
Flood fill with a colour of choice from your tube
Copy and paste you tube as a new layer
Effects, Plugins, MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Choose the wallpaper (lighten) preset
Lower the opacity of this layer to 55

Add a new raster layer
Effects, Plugins, MuRa’s Meister – Clouds
Choose colours and a setting you like
Lower the opacity of this layer to about 73
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible and rename Background

Open your image
Press shift+D to duplicate and close the original
Resize to 250 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer onto canvas
Image, Mirror (Image, Flip Horizontal if using X4)
Position your image on the left hand side of your canvas
Leave a gap of about 50 pixels between the left edge and the edge of your image
Duplicate your image layer twice

On the original layer
Image, Free Rotate, Rotate 9 degrees left, all layers unchecked
On the middle layer
Image, Free Rotate, Rotate 9 degrees right, all layers unchecked

Hide your background layer and merge visible the 3 image layers
Unhide your background layer
Duplicate your merged layer once
Hide the top copy for now

On the original merged layer
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Effects, Plugins, DSB Flux – Blast
Direction – Left / Percentage – 20
Repeat the blast but change the direction to Right
Duplicate the blasted layer
Effects, Plugins, DSB Flux – Bubbles
Bubbles – 75 / Density – 18 / Frequency – 33 / Tune – 50

On the blasted layer reduce the opacity to 51
On the bubble layer reduce the opacity to 80

Unhide the copy of merged
Duplicate
On the top copy
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Reduce the opacity to 50

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Position on the right hand side
Effects, Plugins, Lokas Software – 3D Shadow

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a dark colour from your image
Selections, All, Modify, Contract by 1 pixel
Selections, None
Duplicate this layer
On the original
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 2

Grab your text tool and choose a font
Set your foreground to null and your background to a colour of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name
Position where it looks best and convert to raster
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H – 1 / Opacity – 50 / Blur – 1 / Colour – Black

Add your artists credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂
