Gold Seduction

This tutorial was written by Fiona Pomfrett on June 3rd 2012.

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X4 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Simply Glamorous
Eye Candy 4000 – HSB Noise
WSL Masks 81 and 362 by Chelle
Gold Fill pattern, made by myself Here (just right click and save)
Seductress Freebie kit by DesignsBySarah, available from Taggers Art during June 2012 or kit of choice

I used the awesome artwork of Keith Garvey
You will need a license from PTE to use his work.
Please do not use Keith’s work without purchasing a license first.
This was a free tube for the month of May, it was still available on June 3rd 2012

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400×400 and flood fill with white
Open both frames from the kit and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste Frame 1 as a new layer – rename F1
Copy and paste Frame 2 as a new layer – F2 – 1
Move Frame 1 down and the the left
Move Frame 2 over to the right
Duplicate Frame 1 – rename F1A
On the copy – Image, Flip
Resize by 80%, all layers unchecked
Move this layer to the top of your layer palette

Activate F2 – 1 and duplicate twice giving your 3 layers
Rename the 2 copies F2 – 2 and F2 – 3
Activate F2 – 3
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – HSB Noise

Activate F2 – 2
Repeat the HSB Noise but press random seed once
Activate F2 – 1
Repeat the HSB Noise but press random seed once
Hide layers F2 -2 and F2 – 3

With F2 – 1 still the active layer
Select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: checked
Select inside the inner circle of F2 – 1
Selections, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
Add a new raster layer
Move it below F2 – 1
Open a paper of choice I used paper 4
Copy and paste into the selected area
Keep selected

Open the Print from the kit
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position so part is inside the selected area
Selections, Invert
Press delete on your keyboard
Selections, None

Activate F1
Select inside with your magic wand (same settings)
Copy and paste another paper of choice as a new layer
Move below F1
Selections, Modify, Expand by 5 pixels
Selections, Invert
On the paper layer press delete on your keyboard
Selections, None

Repeat the above step on F1A

Activate your white background layer
Open another paper of choice I used paper 1
Resize the paper to 400 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Resize by 80%, all layers unchecked
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for WSL_Mask362 or one of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Move this mask layer over so it sits behind F2 snuggly

Activate the white background layer again
Open another paper of choice I used paper 1 again
Resize the paper to 400 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Resize by 70%, all layers unchecked
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for WSL_Mask81 or one of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Move this mask layer up and to the left
Duplicate, move the copy down
Lower the opacity on both these layers to about 75

Activate F1A
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Resize if needed
Position your tube so the head is just above the top of the frame
Duplicate F1A
Move the copy above the tube layer
Erase the frame that is covering the top of the tube
Activate the tube and erase any part of it that is below the frame

Activate copy of F1A
Open Ribbon1 and resize to 275 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position over the bottom of the frame
Duplicate the ribbon and move the original layer below the frame

On the copy
Erase parts so it looks like its threaded through the frame

Duplicate both Ribbon twice, giving you 3 copies of each one
On the ribbons BELOW the frame
Rename R1, R2 and R3
On the ribbons ABOVE the frame
Rename RA1, RA2 and RA3

Mighty confusing I know lol, but bare with me

Activate R1
Effects, Plugins, DSB Flux – Bright Noise
Intensity: 5, Click on mix once
Activate RA1 and repeat the Bright Noise
Do Not click anything

Activate R2
Repeat the Bright Noise but click Mix once
Activate RA2 and repeat the Bright Noise
Do Not click anything

Activate R3
Repeat the Bright Noise but click Mix once
Activate RA3 and repeat the Bright Noise
Do Not click anything

Hide R2, R3, RA2 and RA3 for now

Select your text tool and select your font
Set your foreground to null and your background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name
Convert to raster

Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Selections, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
Add a new raster layer
Move below your text layer
open the JustFiGoldFill.png
Set your foreground to the gold fill or one of choice
Flood fill the selected area with the gold fill
Selections, None

Staying on the gold layer
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Uniform & Monochrome: checked / Noise: 20
Add a drop shadow of choice I used
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 54 / Blur: 4 / Color: Black

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer

Ensure R2, R3, RA2, RA3, F2 – 2 and F2 – 3 are still hidden
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Open up Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new animation

Back to PSP
Hide R1, RA1 and F2 -1
Unhide R2, RA2 and F2 – 2
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste after current frame

Back to PSP
Hide R2, RA2 and F2 -2
Unhide R3, RA3 and F2 – 3
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste after current frame

Save as a gif file
All Done 🙂
