Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X4 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Street Corner Slab Upper
Lokas Software – 3D Shadow
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Clubbin Mix n Match Collab by DesignsBySarah or one of choice
I only used Sarah’s part

I used the awesome artwork of PinUpToons
You will need a license from CDO to use his work.
Please do not use Rion’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400×400 and flood fill with white
Open 3 papers of choice from the kit I used papers 2, 3 & 12
Resize them all to 400 pixels wide

Copy and paste paper 3 as a new layer
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load mask from disk
Look for WSL_Mask84 or one of choice
Source luminance, Fit to canvas and hide all mask checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Copy and paste paper 2 as a new layer
Repeat the mask using the same settings
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Change the blend mode on this layer to Overlay

Copy and paste paper 12 as a new layer
Repeat the mask using the same settings
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Resize if needed
Add a drop shadow of choice I used Lokas Software 3D Shadow

Open the Chrome Squares
Using your selection tool draw a selection ruond the 1st 6 squares
Edit, Copy
Now paste as a new layer onto your main canvas
Move this layer below your tube layer on the layer palette
Resize by 65%

Open the Sound Waves
Resize to 250 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Duplicate 3 times to give you 4 layers
Rename 1 – 4 starting with the original

Hide layers 2, 3 & 4
Activate 1
Adjust, Hue & Saturation, Colorize
H: 0 / S: 0

Activate 2
Grab your selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Draw uneven selections round the top parts of the sound wave
You might find it easier to hide all other layers except 1, 2 and your white background

Make sure you are on layer 2
Press delete on your keyboard
Selections, Invert
Duplicate 1
On the copy press delete
Selections, None
Lower the opacity on the copy of 1 to 70

Hide all layers, Except 2 and copy of 1
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Rename 2

Unhide your white background again so you can see what you’re doing
Unhide layer 3, lower the opacity to about 40
You should be able to see where you erased on layer 2 now
Draw a selection slightly half way between where 2 stops and the top of the sound wave

On layer 3 press delete
Selections, Invert
Activate 1 and duplicate
Press delete on the duplicate
Selections, None
Move the duplicate below layer 3
Lower the opacity to 70
Put the opacity of 3 back up to 100
Hide all layers, except 3 and copy of 1
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Rename 3

Unhide all layers
Hide layer 2, 3 & 4
Open one of the ribbons and resize to 300 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Make sure it’s the top layer on your layer palette
Select your freehand selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Point to point / Mode: Add (shift) Feather & Smothing: 0
Draw a selection round part of the ribbon you want behind your tube

Selections, Promote Selection to layer
On the original ribbon layer press delete
Selections, None
Move the promoted layer below your tube layer on the layer palette

Erase any part of the sound wave layers (all 4 of them) that is below the ribbon

Open the Music Notes, resize to 300 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Move below your tube layer on your layer palette
Adjust, Brightness & Contrast, Brightness/Contrast
Brightnes: 255 / Contrast: 0
Add a drop shadow to this layer I used
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 72 / Blur: 6.93 / Color: Black

Activate your tile layer
Add a drop shadow I used
V&H: 5 / Opacity: 72 / Blur: 13.86 / Color: White
Repeat the drop shadow but change the V&H to -5

Hide the white background and crop away any excess canvas
Unhide the white background

Select your text tool and choose your font
Set your foreground to null, background to a color from your tag I used #D13591
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name
Position where it looks best and convert to raster
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Open a paper from the kit I used paper 9
Resize the paper to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position over your selected text
Selections, Invert
With the paper layer active, press delete
Selections, None

Activate the original colored text layer
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Choose the Fat preset but change the 2nd node to the color of your text

Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 50%

Add the same gradient glow again
Add the same drop shadow (both the +5 & -5) to your text as you used on your mirror tiles

Ensure layers 2, 3 and 4 are still hidden
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Open up Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new animation

Back to PSP
Hide layer 1 and unhide 2
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste after current frame

Repeat for layer 3 and 4

In AS, you should have 4 frames
Edit, Select All
Animation, Frame Properties
Set this to 20

Click on frame 2, hold your crtl key and click on frame 3
Edit, Copy
Click on frame 4
Edit, Paste after current frame
Animation, Reverse frames
Save as a gif file
All Done 🙂
