Pretty Kitty

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X4 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Art Heart
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
WSL Mask 123 by Chelle
Meow kit by DesignsBySarah or kit of choice

I used the awesome artwork of Amy Matthews
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Amy’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400×400 and flood fill with white
Open Frame 2 from the kit and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Rename Frame

Open Grunge Line 2 and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position along the top edge of the frame
Move below the Frame layer on your layer palette
Duplicate the grunge line
On the original – Adjust, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
On the copy lower the opacity to 65
Still on the copy, Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Rename Grunge Line

Open Frame 6, resize to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer, above your Grunge Line but below your Frame
Move over to the right slightly

Duplicate and on the original
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Back on the copy – Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Rename Squiggle

Activate the Frame layer
With your magic wand and these settings:
Mode: Add (Shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer, name it Frame Back

Open a paper of choice I used paper 7 (rotated 90 degrees right)
Copy and paste the paper into the selection
Selections, None
Move Frame Back layer below Frame layer on your layer palette

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, resize if needed (I resized by 60%)
Position within the frame
Duplicate your tube layer
Move the copy above the frame layer
On the original (below the frame) add a drop shadow of choice I used:
V: 0 / H: 5 / Opacity: 68 / Blur: 13.86 / Color: Black

On the copy (above the frame)
Erase any tube that covers the top of the frame and is above it
On my screen shot below I selected the area to be deleted

Now activate the original (below the frame)
Again erase any tube that is above the frame
Again I selected the area to be deleted

Open Ribbon 2 and resize to 300 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Move below the top tube
Position over the bottom edge of the frame
Add a drop shadow of choice I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 68 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black

Open the Ball of String and resize by 30%
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position where it looks best
I positioned over the ribbon on the right hand edge
Add the same drop shadow as you just used

Open Bow 3 and resize by 30%
Copy and paste as a new layer
Move below the string layer
Position in the top right hand corner of the frame
Add the same drop shadow

Open Bow 2 and resize 30%
Copy and paste as a new layer
Move to the top of your layer palette
Position on the top left corner of your frame
Using your Pick/Deform tool angle the bow
Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen
Add the same drop shadow again

Open Flower 1 and resize by 20%
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position over the bow in the to right corner
Add the same drop shadow

Erase any of the Squiggle layer that is at the bottom of your image
Activate the white background layer
Add a new raster layer
Selections, All

Open a paper of choice I used 7, rotated 90 left
Copy and paste into the selection
Selections, None
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for WSL_Mask123 or one of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Erase any mask from the bottom of your image

Delete the white background layer
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Activate the top layer on your layer palette
Edit, Paste as a new layer
Line the merged layer up with the original layers
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Overlay or one of choice

Select your text tool and choose your font
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name, position where you think it looks best
When happy, Convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits (if required) and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as jpg/png
All Done 🙂
