Forever Broken

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X4 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Alex Brush
DSB Flux – Linear Transmission
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Fallen kit by DesignsBySarah or kit of choice

I used the awesome artwork of Zindy
You can purchase all Zindy’s work and a license from her store Here
Please do not use Zindy’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400×400 and flood fill with white
Open the Scrap of Paper from the kit and resize to 250 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer onto your main canvas
Rename Paper Scrap
Move down and to the right slightly
Add a drop shadow of choice I used:
V: 0 / H: 5 / Opacity: 44 / Blur: 4.95 / Color: Grey (#404040)

Open Wings 1 and resize to 325 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Move below the Paper Scrap layer
Position the wings behind the paper scrap
Add the same drop shadow to your wings
Rename Wings

Open Print 3 and resize to 325 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position on the left hand side of the wings, overlapping slightly
Now move below the wings layer on your layer palette
Rename Print A

Open Print 1 and resize to 325
Copy and paste as a new layer
Move above the wings layer on your layer palette
Position so it sits over the wings
Rename Print B

Open Frame 2 and resize to 325 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Image, Free Rotate – 90 degrees to the left
Image, Mirror
You want this layer directly below Scrap Paper layer on your layer palette
Position the bow and the bottom part of the frame behind the Scrap Paper

Add the same drop shadow as we used previously

Select your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: checked
Select inside the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 5 pixels
Add a new raster layer, name it Frame Paper
Move this below your frame layer on your layer palette
Open a paper of choice I used paper 3
Copy and paste into the selection
Selections, None
Lower the opacity of the paper to about 75
Erase any excess paper and frame from below the Scrap Paper

Activate the Frame Paper layer
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer resize if needed
Position within the frame
Activate Frame Paper layer again
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Activate your tube layer and press delete
Selections, None

Activate Scrap Paper layer – which should be your top layer
Open Feather 1 and resize to 200 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Image, Flip
Position where it looks best – I put it over the Scrap paper layer
Add the same drop shadow as used previously

Open the Clock and resize to 200 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position on the right hand side towards the top
Now drag down on your layer palette to just above the white background

Delete the white background layer
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Activate the top layer
Edit, Paste as a new layer
Line up the whole pasted tag with the original tag elements
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 8
Effects, DSB Flux – Linear Transmission
Slice size: 2 / Offset: 2 / Blend: 50 / Direction: Horizontal
Rename Transmission
Drag this layer down below your frame layer but above the tube layer
Change the blend mode to Soft Light and the opacity to 69

Activate Frame Paper
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Activate your Transmission layer and press delete
Selections, None

Activate the top layer again
Select your text tool and choose a font
Set your foreground to null, background set to color of choice I used: #4F5154
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name
Use the nodes to stretch/angle text if required
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow again

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits (if required) and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
