Lovely Little You

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X4 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Simply*Glamorous
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
MC_Mask1 by Melissa
Lovely Little You Kit by DesignsBySarah or kit of choice

I used the awesome artwork of Amy Brown
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Amy’s work without purchasing a license first.

Before working on ANY scrap paper/element, press shift+D to duplicate and close the original. Always work on the duplicated copy

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400×400 and flood fill with white
Open Frame 1 from the kit and resize to 200 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Rename F1

Open Frame 3, carefully erase the stringer hanger and hook from the top of the frame
Copy and paste as a new layer
Once pasted, resize to 125 pixels wide – all layers unchecked
Position to the left, slightly overlapping F1
Rename F2

Open Paper 11 and resize by 75%
Activate F1, copy and paste the paper as a new layer
Position one of the hearts inside the heart of F2
Select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Activate F2, select inside the heart of the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 5 pixels
Selections, Invert
Activate the paper again and press delete
Selections, None
Rename the paper F2 Back

Still on F2 Back, select the heart with your magic wand (same setting as before)
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 14%
Selections, None

Activate the white background layer
Open Mat1 from the kit
Copy and paste as a new layer
Activate F1 and select inside the frame with your magic wand (same settings as before)
Selections, Modify, expand by 5 pixels
Selections, Invert
Activate the Mat layer and press delete
Selections, None
Rename the Mat layer, F1 Back

Activate white background layer
Open the Flower Deco and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position so its coming out from the right hand side
Erase any excess flowers
Duplicate and on the copy
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Lower the opacity to 75
Still on the copy
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Rename Deco 1

Copy and paste the Flower Deco again
Erase all but the left hand stem
Image, Mirror and the resize by 75% – all layers unchecked
Position on the edge of F1
Erase any excess stem that is below the black ribbon of the frame
Duplicate and repeat the Gaussian Blur on the copy
Lower the opacity to 75
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Rename Deco 2

Activate F2
Copy and paste the Flower Deco again
Erase all but the left hand stem
Position so the heart of the stem is overlapping the edge of the frame
Erase any excess that covers the frame
Duplicate and repeat the Gaussian Blur on the copy
Lower the opacity to 75
Layer, Merge, Merge Down
Rename Deco 3

Activate F1 Back
Open your tube and copy and paste as a new layer – resize if needed
Position within the frame
Select any tube that is under the top part of your frame

Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
Move the promoted layer above F1
On the original tube layer, press delete
Selections, None
Now erase any excess tube from the bottom of the frame

Activate F1 and add a drop shadow of choice I used:
V: 0 / H: 2 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 6 / Color: Black
Repeat the same drop shadow on F2

Activate the white background layer
Open Paper 8 and resize to 325 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for MC_Mask1 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Open Paper4 and resize to 325 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Repeat the mask with the same settings
Change the blend mode of the top layer to Overlay
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Move up and to the left slightly

Open the Wordart and resize to 200 pixels wide
Activate F1 and copy and paste the wordart as a new layer
Position above the frame
Duplicate and working on the copy, repeat the Gaussian Blur as before

Select your text tool and choose a font
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name, use the nodes to stretch/angle if needed
Position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as used previously
Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits (if required) and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the white background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
