Sexy And I Know It

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X4 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used MTF Playtime & SugarHoneyIcedTea
Penta.com – Jeans & Dot and Cross
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

I used the awesome artwork of Rion Vernon (PinUpToons)
You can purchase his work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Rion’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new blank canvas 400×400
Flood fill with white
Set your foreground to a light color from your tube (I used #EDADAD)
Set your background to a darker color from your tube (I used #D16A94)
Change your background to a fore/back gradient mix
Angle – 90 / Repeats – 0
Turn off your foreground

Select your preset shape tool and choose the Ellipse
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Draw out a circle approx 264w x 304h
Objects, Align, Center in Canvas
Do Not Convert to Raster

Duplicate your vector circle layer
Convert the copy to raster and rename 2

Back on the original vector circle layer
Duplicate again, Do Not Convert the copy
Hide the original Vector circle layer for now
On the copy, click the + sign on your layer palette
Right click on the indented layer and select properties
Change the fill color from the gradient to a solid dark color (I used #202020)
Now Convert this layer to raster and rename 1

Activate 2
Select your selection tool with these settings:
Selections type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Draw a vertical selection on one side of the circle approx 55px wide

Ensure you are on layer 2 and press delete on your keyboard
Selections, None

Activate 1
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 15%
Still on this layer, carefully erase the edge that you can see sticking out from behind the pink
I drew a selection around the area I was deleting

Still on 1
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Position in the gap – I mirrored my tube too
Change the blend mode to Luminance (legacy)
Lower the opacity to about 69

Activate 1
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Activate the tube layer and press delete
Selections, None

Activate 2
Select your selection tool with the same settings as before
Select the left hand side of 2

Selections, Promote selection to layer
Selections, None
Rename the promoted layer 2A
Working on 2A
Effects, Plugins, Penta.com, Jeans
Use the default settings
Change the blend mode to Soft Light
Lower the opacity to about 65

Back on 2
Select the right hand side
Selections, Promote selection to layer
Selections, None
Rename the promoted layer 2B
Working on 2B
Effects, Plugins, Penta.com, Dot & Cross
Use the default settings

Select your eraser tool with these settings:
Shape: Square / Size: 9 / Hardness, Density, Thickness & Opacity: 100 / Step: 10 / Rotation: 0
Erase every other block of dots

Close up of the blocks once erased

Activate 2 again
Select the right hand side again
elections, Promote selection to layer
Selections, None
Rename the promoted layer 2C
Working on 2C
Effects, Plugins, Penta.com, Jeans
Use the default settings
Lower the opacity to about 10
Move 2C above 2B on your layer palette

Back on 2 (again I know)
Add a drop shadow of choice I used:
V: 0 / H: -5 / Opacity: 70 / Blur: 7.92 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Checked
Activate 2 again
Repeat the shadow but change the H to +5
Activate the top shadow layer
Layers, Merge, Merge Down

Activate 1
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Activate the shadow layer and press delete
Selections, None

Activate the Vector Circle and Duplicate
Convert the copy to raster
Move to the top of the layer palette (layers, arrange, send to top)
Rename Frame
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Selections, Modify, Contract by 8 Pixels
Press delete
Selections, All, Float
Effects, 3D Effects, Cutout
Use a darker shade of your dark color from the Shadow color

Selections, Modify, Feather by 1 pixel
Selections, Invert and press delete a few times until you have a soft edge
Selections, None

You may now need to erase some of the tube, shadow and 1 layers that maybe visible outside of your frame
Duplicate your Frame layer
On the copy
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set 5

Activate the Vector Circle again, make sure it is NOT hidden
Select your text tool and choose a font (I used MTF Playtime)
Set your foreground to null, Background to a dark color or black
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Now activate the copy of frame layer
Place your cursor over the edge of the vector circle until your get a symbol either +A) or +T)
Now add your text of choice, repeat so it goes round the circle
When happy convert to raster
You can now delete the vector circle layer
Duplicate your text layer
On the copy
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Resize if needed – I resized to 65%
Position where it looks best
Add a drop shadow of choice I used:
V: 0 / H: 5 / Opacity: 70 / Blur: 4.95 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Select your text tool and choose your font (I used SugarHoneyIcedTea)
Set your foreground to a bold, bright color from your tube I used #CC6587
Set your background to a dark color or black
Create as vector & Anti-Alias both checked
Stroke width set to 1
Add your name
Use the nodes to stretch, angle your text
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add a drop shadow of choice I used:
V: 2 / H: 2 / Opacity: 70 / Blur: 4.95 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the white background
Crop away excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂
