Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X4 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Font of Choice – I used KS Hand
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Robo Love (ftu) by TK Dezigns

I didn’t use any art in this tutorial, I just used the elements from the kit.
I have to add, this tutorial is a bit long and maybe a little confusing at times, remember to rename each layer or when it comes to animating it will be even more confusing. So grab a coffee/tea/soda and let’s go 🙂

Note: When opening elements, press shift + D to duplicate and close the original.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400×400 and flood fill with white
Rename this layer BG
Open element 36 and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer onto your main canvas
Rename Blue Black

Open element 23 and resize to 150 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Rename Cog 1
Position slightly up and left from the center

Open element 22 and resize to 130 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Rename Cog 2
Position overlapping the bottom of Cog 1

Open element 34 and resize to 250 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Rename Pink
Position on the right of the canvas

Open element 7 and resize to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – leave in the center
Rename Pink Blue

Open element 9 and resize to 125 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer
Rename Spring 1
Position next to Cog 2

Duplicate Spring 1 and rename the copy Spring 2
Working on Spring 2
Select your Deform/Pick tool
Drag the top center box down slightly

Duplicate Spring 2 and rename the copy Spring 3
Repeat the deform/pick on Spring 3
Hide Spring 2 and Spring 3 layers

Open either element 1 or 2 and resize 225 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer
Rename Robot
Position just overlapping your Spring layer

Select your selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Zoom in and draw a selection round the lights at the top of the robot
Note: I drew a green line around the are I selected as it wasn’t very clear on the screen shot

Selections, Promote selection to layer
Back on the robot layer and press delete
Selections, None
Rename the promoted layer Light 1
Duplicate this layer, rename the copy Light 2

Working on Light 2
Press Shift + G to open your Gamma Correction
Set all 3 values to 0.56

Open a word art of choice – I used 2a
Resize to 250 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename WA
Image, Free Rotate, 90 degrees left
Position on the left hand side
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 7 / Opacity: 60 / Blur: 6.93 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Select your text tool and choose a font
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name
Position towards the bottom – use the nodes to stretch/angle your text if needed
When happy, Convert to raster
Add the same Gradient Glow as before
Rename Name

Add your scrap makers credits as a new layer
Rename Credits

At this point you can save as a non-animated tag
Delete the BG layer and crop away the excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png 🙂
