Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X7 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Ringer Bold
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Bundle Scrap kit for PinUpToons pkg 212 by Foxy or kit of choice

I used the awesome artwork of PinUp Toons (Rion Vernon)
You can purchase his work and a license from CDO.
Please do not use Rion’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with white
Open Frame 5 and resize to 225 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Resize again by 85%, all layers unchecked
Image, Free Rotate, 10 degrees to the left
Duplicate your frame
On the original – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 8
On the copy – Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
fl-01
Activate your white background layer
Open a paper of choice – I used paper 11
Resize the paper to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (Shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Activate the top frame and select inside it
Selections, Modify, Expand by 10 pixels
Selections, Invert
Activate your paper layer and press delete
Selections, None

Activate your white background layer again
Open Element 19 and resize to 200 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Image, Flip
Drag this layer up and to the right slightly so you can see more of the leaves
Duplicate this layer
On the original apply the following drop shadow:
V&H: 3 / Opacity: 55 / Blur: 13.86 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – Radius set to 4
Reduce the opacity to 55

Open Element 36 and resize to 200 pixel wide
Copy and paste as a new layer above your leaves layers
Duplicate and apply the same Gaussian Blur to the copy
Reduce the opacity to 65

Activate your top frame layer
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Resize your tube if needed – I resized by 65%, all layers unchecked
Position within the frame
Apply the same drop shadow as used on the leaves

Using your Freehand selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Point to point / Mode: Add (shift) / Feather & Smoothing: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select around the bottom part of your tube where it overlaps the frame
But don’t go outside the frame
I lowered the opacity of the tube to about 53 so I could see the frame
fl-02
Selections, Promote selection to layer
On the original, press delete
Selections, None
Move the promoted layer below both the frame layers

Activate the main tube and erase any tube that is below the frame
I selected the area to be deleted
fl-03
Activate the top frame and apply the same drop shadow

Open Element 11 and resize to 100 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position towards the bottom edge of the frame
Add the same drop shadow

Open Element 12 and resize to 75 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position overlapping the previous layer
Apply the same drop shadow

Delete the white background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Increase the canvas back to 400 x 400, central placement selected
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Edit, Paste as a new layer
Move to the top of your layer palette – if not there already
Ensure it’s lined up with the other layers
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – Radius set to 8
Change the blend mode to Hard Light or one of choice

Select your text tool and choose a font
Set your foreground to white, Background set to Black
Stroke width set to 1
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name
Use the nodes to stretch/angle your text if needed
When happy, convert to raster
Effect, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel
fl-04
Apply the same drop shadow

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂

Here’s another sample, using PinUp Toons still. The font used on this sample is RocknRoll Typo Crazy, I didn’t use the inner bevel on this, just the drop shadow 🙂
