Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X7 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Milk & Cereal
Filters Unlimited – Paper Textures
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
IB AmyBrown 83-3 kit for FoxysDesignz or kit of choice

I used the awesome artwork of Amy Brown
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO.
Please do not use Amy’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with white
Open Frame 1 and resize to 275 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (Shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 10 pixels

Add a new raster layer and move it below the frame
Open a paper of choice – I used paper 5
Copy and paste the paper into the selection
Keep Selected

Open Element 5 and resize to 275 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer above your paper
Selections, Invert and press delete
Selections, None
Duplicate this layer
Working on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Soft Light
On the original change the blend mode to Luminance (legacy)

Open Element 19 and resize to 300 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer
Add the following drop shadow:
V&H: 3 / Opacity: 55 / Blur: 13.86 / Color: #42332D / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open Element 15 and resize to 150 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position top right so the 12 is just above the frame
Duplicate this layer
On the copy, using your Manual Color Correction tool (mini tut here)
Set the source box to #000000 set the target box to #F8F3EB
Effects, Image, Offset – H: -2 / V: 0

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Resize if needed – I resized by 75%, all layers unchecked
Position so the face is inside the frame

Select your Freehand selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Point to point / Mode: Add (shift) / Feather & Smoothing: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select around the bottom part of your tube where it overlaps the frame
You may want to lower the opacity of the tube so you can see the frame

Selections, Promote selection to layer
On the original tube layer, press delete
Selections, None
If you lowered the opacity, put it back to 100 now

Move the promoted layer below the frame layer
Erase any tube that is below the frame
I selected the area to be deleted

Add the same drop shadow to your tube and frame layers as used on your tree

Activate your tube layer
Open Element 18 and resize to 100 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position near the bottom of the tree on the frame
Add the same drop shadow
Erase any tree trunk you can still see
Again I selected the area to be deleted

Activate your white background layer and add a new raster layer
Selections, All, Modify, Contract by 25 pixels
Open a paper of choice – I used paper 2
Copy and paste the paper into the selection
Selections, None
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for WSL_Mask44 or one of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Delete white background and crop away any excess canvas
Increase your canvas to 400 x 400, central placement checked
Activate the top layer
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Edit, Paste as a new layer
It should be lined up with the original, if not line it up
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Effects, Plugins, Filters Unlimited, Paper Textures
Choose a texture you like and play with the settings
I used Japanese Paper, with these settings

Change the blend mode to Soft Light

Select your text tool and choose a font
Set your foreground to null, Background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name, use the nodes to stretch/angle your text
When happy with the size and position, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow to your text

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂

Another sample using the sexy art of Dirk Richter, who is also licensed through CDO. I used different elements from the kit and placed the tube completely in the frame. Font used is My Nerd, I also added an Inner Bevel before the Gradient Glow.
