Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X7 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used WaterBrush
I.C Net Software – Filters Unlimited
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Mask 0512 by Trese
Reflections Mini kit by Hungry Hill or Kit of choice

I used the awesome artwork of Anna Liwanag
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO.
Please do not use Anna’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with white
Open Frame 2 and resize to 275 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame

Select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (Shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the Frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 6 pixels
Add a new layer below your frame layer – name it Frame Back
Open a paper of choice – I used paper 12
Copy and paste into selections
Selections, None

Copy and paste your tube of choice as a new layer above Frame Back
Add a drop shadow of choice to your tube – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 40 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Duplicate your tube layer
On the original, lower the opacity to 67
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Soft Light
Activate Frame Back
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Press delete on both your tube layers
Selections, None

Open Flower 3 and resize by 50%
Activate Frame Back
Copy and paste Flower 3 as a new layer – rename Back Flower
Lower the opacity to 70
Activate the Frame and add the same drop shadow as used on your tube

Activate Copy of Tube
Open Gauze 2, Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Gauze
Position where it looks best
Apply a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 2 / Opacity: 40 / Blur: 1.98 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Erase any excess from outside of the frame

Open Glitter and resize to 50%
Copy and paste as a new layer above Gauze – rename Glitter
Recolor using your Change to Target brush if required
Apply the same drop shadow as used on the Gauze layer
Erase any excess glitter from outside the frame

Open Flower 2 and resize to 150 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Flower
Again recolor if required
Position towards the edge of your frame
Apply the same drop shadow
Erase any flower that is outside the frame

Open Ribbon Rose 2 and resize to 125 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Flower 2
Move above the Frame layer
Position where it looks best
Apply the same drop shadow

Open the Flutterby and resize to 150 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position in the middle of the frame at the bottom
Apply the same drop shadow

Open a paper of choice – I used Paper 4
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a complentary color
Change the blend mode to Color
Resize to 375 pixels
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
You can close this now

On your main image, activate the white background layer
Edit, Paste your paper as a new layer
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Trese Mask0512 or a mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer, Hide all Mask and Invert checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Duplicate your mask layer
Move the copy so its below the Frame layer
Change the blend mode to Hard Light and reduce the opacity to 60
Erase any of the copy of mask from outside the frame

Delete your white background layer
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Activate you top layer
Edit, Paste as a new layer
Line this up with the original layers
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Soft Light and the reduce the opacity to 75
Effects, Plugins, I.C Net Software – Filters Unlimited
Select the Paper Textures option and choose a texture – I used Striped Paper, Coarse

Select your text tool and choose a font
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name
Use the nodes to stretch/angle text if required
When happy, Convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Apply the same drop shadow as you used on your Tube and Frame Layers
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 40 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂

Here’s another sample using the fab art of PinUp Toons, who is also licensed through CDO. Fonts used are TheNautiGal (name) and FFF Urban (credits)
