Tea For Two

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X7 but any version will do
Tube & matching Image of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Color Me Purple & Eat More Chocolate
Xero – Porcelain
MuRa’s Meister – Tone
Eye Candy 4000- Gradient Glow
Frame by PixelDust – shared with permission *thanks hun*
WSL Mask 167 by Chelle

I used the awesome artwork of Martin Abel
You can purchase his work and a license from CDO.
Please do not use Martin’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open the PD_Frame, press shift + D to duplicate
Close the original
Delete the credits layer

Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with grey #C0C0C0
Activate the PD_Frame and select your selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select the top right part of the frame

Edit, Copy
Activate your main image and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Resize by 75%, all layers unchecked
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 2 / Opacity: 40 / Blur: 4.95 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate your background layer
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube 1
Position the face with the frame
Duplicate Tube 1 – rename the copy Tube 2

On Tube 1 – Effects, Plugins, Xero – Porcelain
Use the default settings
On Tube 2 – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 7.5
Change the blend mode to Soft Light

Duplicate Tube 2 – rename the copy Tube 3
Change the blend mode to Tube 3 to Overlay
Erase any excess from all 3 tube layer from outside the frame

Activate PD_Frame again
Selections, None – if the previous selection is still there
Select your selection tool again with the same settings
Select the top left section of the frame

Edit, Copy
Activate your main image and paste as a new layer – rename F1
Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top

With F1 active, resize to 40%, all layers unchecked
Image, Free Rotate, 90 to the left
Position towards the bottom the Frame

Duplicate F1, rename the copy F2
Image, Free Rotate, 10 to the right
Move up and to the right slightly

Activate F1 again and duplicate, rename the copy F3
Image, Free Rotate, 20 to the left
Position towards the top of the frame

You should have something like this

On your layer palette, ensure F1 is at the top
F2 in the middle and F3 at the bottom

Activate F3
Select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (Shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it F3 Back
Flood fill with black – move below the F3 layer
Keep selected
Copy and paste your image as a new layer
Position part of your image inside the frame
Selections, Invert, Press delete on your image layer
Selections, None
Duplicate your image
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Soft Light
Set the blend mode on the original to Luminance (Legacy)
Activate F3 and apply the same drop shadow as used before

Activate F2, repeat the above step
Use a different part of your image
On the original image layer set the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
On the copy, apply the same Gaussian Blur
Set the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy) and reduce the opacity to 55
Apply the drop shadow to F2

Activate F1 and repeat the steps again
Again use a different part of the imahe
On the original image layer set the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
On the copy, apply the same Gaussian Blur
Set the blend mode to Overlay
Apply the drop shadow to F1

Activate Tube 3 and add a new raster layer – name it Tone
Effects, Plugins, MuRa’s Meister – Tone

Erase any excess tone from outside the frame
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 30

Activate your background layer
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a dark color of choice
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for WSL_Mask167 or one of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Select your text tool and choose a font
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your text of choice – I wrote ‘Two for Tea’
Position where it looks best and then convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Duplicate your text layer
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Set the opacity to 65

Activate your text tool again – change your font if needed
Keep your other settings the same, but change your background color
I used the same color as used for my gradient glow
Add your name
Position where best and convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
I used my previous text color as my glow color

Apply the same drop shadow as previously used to your name
Duplicate and on the copy apply the same Gaussian Blur
Change the blend mode to Overlay

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete your grey background
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂

Another sample, again using the awesome art of Martin Abel. I recolored the frame on this one. Font used is Janda Celebration Script. The extra roses on this are part of the tube.
