Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X7 but any version will do
Close Up Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Impact and Ephesis
Eye Candy 5: Impact – Extrude
DSB Flux – Blast
VM Extravaganza – Transmission
RR_MaskSet65_Mask3 by Rachel

I used the awesome artwork of Michael Landefeld
You can purchase his work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Michael’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with white
Select your preset shape tool and chose the Heart shape
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Line width set to 5
Set your foreground to a dark color from your tube, background set to null
Draw out a heart about 1/2 the size of the canvas

Objects, Align, Horizontal in Canvas
Now Convert to Raster

Duplicate and on the copy
Image, Flip (or Image, Mirror, Mirror Vertical)
Ensure you are still on the copy
Layers, Merge, Merge Down

Select your eraser tool with these settings:
Shape: Circle / Size: 32 / Hardness, Density, Thickness & Opacity: 100 / Step: 10 / Rotation: 0
Carefully erase the middle sections (ignore the screen shot color I made a boo boo lol)

Duplicate this layer
On the original layer, Image, Free Rotate, 90 degress left
Rename the original – Bottom Shape
Rename the copy – Top Shape

Activate Bottom Shape
Resize by 95%, all layers unchecked
Using your manual color corection tool {mini tut here} recolor to a complimentary color
Using your magic wand again (same settings) click inside Bottom Shape
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Bottom Fill
Flood fill with a complimentary color
Selections, None
Move this layer below Bottom Shape

Activate Top Shape and select inside with your magic wand
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Top Fill
Flood fill with a complimentary color of choice
Selections, None
Move this layer below Top Shape layer

Activate Top Shape again and duplicate
Move the copy below Top Fill layer
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 5: Impact – Extrude

Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 15%
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 5 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate Bottom Shape and duplicate
Move the copy below Bottom Fill
Apply the Eye Candy 5: Imapct – Extrude but change the Extrude Direction to 117
Apply the same noise as used before

Activate Bottom Shape again and duplicate
Move the copy below Bottom Shape
Effects, Plugins, DSB Flux – Blast
Direction: Left / Percentage: 5
Repeat the blast 3 more times
Changing the direction to Right, Upwards and Downwards
Change the blend mode to Multiply
Duplicate and change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)

Activate Bottom Fill
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Press delete on both layers with the DSB Flux filter applied to them
Selections, None

Activate Bottom Shape
Apply the same drop shadow as previously used
Erase ALL of the bottom layers from the right side of your Top Shape

Activate Top Fill
Copy and paste your close up tube as a new layer
Position where it looks best within the shape
Change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
Reduce the opacity to 50

Duplicate your tube, working on the copy
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 10
Effects, Plugins, VM Extravaganza – Transmission

Activate your Top Fill again
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Press delete on both tube layers
Selections, None

Select your selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select every other line

On the top copy of your tube, press delete
Selections, None
Change the blend mode of the top tube layer to Overlay
Ensure the opacity is still set to 50

Hide your white background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Edit, Paste as a new layer – Rename Blur
Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top
Increase your canvas size back to 400 x 400
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 10
Change the blend mode of this layer to Overlay
Reduce the opacity to 55

Select your text tool and choose a bold font – I used Impact
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Type out your word of choice – I wrote ‘PASSION’
Position towards the bottom of the tag area
Use the nodes to stretch if needed
When happy, Convert to Raster

Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Selections, Modify, Contract by 2 pixels
Selections, Invert, then Promote Selection to layer
Selections, None

Working on the promoted layer
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise. Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 30%
Apply a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 1 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

On the original layer
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 5: Imapct – Extrude
Use the same settings again but change the Extrude Direction back to 27
Activate the promoted layer and Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Move this layer below the Blur layer

Activate the Blur layer
Keep your text tool active, but change your font – I used Ephesis
Keep your settings the same, change the background color if required
Add your name
Position where it looks best
Use the nodes to stretch if required
When happy, convert to raster

Duplicate your name text layer
On your original name text layer
Recolor white using your Manual Color Correction tool
Apply the same Eye Candy 5: Impact – Extrude
Use the same settings as used on your previous text layer but change the Extrude Distance to 4
Still on this layer
Effects, Image Effects, Offset
p-06
Unhide your white background layer and refill with a complimentary color of choice
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RR_MaskSet65_Mask3 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to Layer and Hide all mask: checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Add your artists copyrights and your own tagger watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
