Feather & Lace

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X7 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Sverige Script Decorated Demo
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Mask1 from MaskSet83 by Rachel
PinUpToons Bundle 225 kit by FoxysDesignz

I used the awesome artwork of PinUpToons (Rion Vernon)
You can purchase his work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Rion’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with white
Rename BG
Open Frame 6 from the kit
Select your selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select around the bottom square of the frame
Edit, Copy and paste as a new layer onto your main canvas
Resize to 200 pixels wide, all layers unchecked
Rename Frame

Activate BG
Open Element 12 and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer
Move up and right slightly
Rename Bottom Leaves 2

Duplicate and rename the copy Bottom Leaves 1
Working on Bottom Leaves 1
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 4

Activate Frame
Open Element 5 and resize to 200 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Top Leaves
Position to the left of the frame
Apply a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 1 / H: 4 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 10.89 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: unchecked

Open Element 1 and resize to 175 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Feather
Image, Mirror (Mirror, Horizontal)
Then, Image, Free Rotate, 20 degrees to the right
Position over Top Leaves
Apply the same drop shadow

Open Element 11 and resize to 175 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Lace
Position along the bottom of the frame
Apply the same drop shadow

Activate your frame layer and select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Frame Back
Move this layer below the frame layer
Open a paper of choice – I used paper 8
Copy and paste in the selection
Selections, None

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, above the Frame Back
Position so the face is within the frame
Duplicate your tube and working on the copy
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 10
Change the blend mode to Overlay

Activate Frame Back
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Press delete on both tube layers
Selections, None

Activate your Lace layer – which should be the top layer on your layer palette
Open Element 10 and resize to 175 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Bottle 1
Position on the right side of the frame
Duplicate and rename to copy Bottle 2
Set your foreground to Black
Select your Change To Target brush with these settings:
Shape: Circle / Size: 200 / Hardness, Density, Thickness and Opacity: 100 / Step: 10 / Roatation: 0 / Mode: Color
Click once on Bottle 2
Apply the same drop shadow as used previously on both bottle layers

Activate BG and add a new layer
Selections, All
Copy and paste a paper of choice into selection – I used paper 3
Selections, None

Resize this layer by 75%, all layers unchecked
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RD_MaskSet83_Mask1 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Reduce the opacity to about 65

Duplicate the mask layer
Move the copy above the 2 tube layers
Change the blend mode to Overlay
Opacity still set to 65

Activate Bottle 2 – which should be your top layer
Select your text tool and choose a font
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name
Use the nodes to stretch/angle text if required
When happy, Convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Apply the same drop shadow as previously used

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete your BG layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂
