Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X8 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Good Morning by Des Gomez
DBV Xmas Mask 05 by Designs by Vaybs
Animation 169 by Simone
Decembrrrrr kit by Mellie Beans

I used the awesome artwork of Suzanne Woolcott aka Gorjuss
Unfortunately, Suzanne no longer sells her artwork as tubes.
Please do not use Suzanne’s work unless you have a license to do so

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with white
Open Element 27 and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside all 4 parts of the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 5 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Frame Back
Move it below the Frame layer
Open a paper of choice – I used pp09
Copy and paste into selection
Selections, None

Open another paper of choice – I used pp10
Resize to 350 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Move down below Frame Back layer
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for DBV Xmas Mask 06 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Image, Free Rotate, 90 degrees to the right
Duplicate the mask layer
On the copy, Image Flip
Still on the copy – Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Rename Mask

Activate your Frame layer
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed – I resized to 60%
Position where it looks best in front of your frame
Apply a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 5 / Opacity: 75 / Blur: 8.91 / Color: #2A2A2A / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open Element 18 and resize to 150 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Bush
Move below your tube layer
Position on one side of your tube
Erase any stem that is below the bottom of the frame

Open Element 09 and resize to 200 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Leaves
Image, Free Rotate, 90 degrees to the left
Position over the Bush
Apply the same drop shadow as used previously
Erase any stem that is below the bottom of the frame
I moved mine so it was above the tube

Activate your top layer either your Tube or Leaves layer
Open Element 01 and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Snow
Position along the bottom of the frame
Line it up so it’s level with your frame

Open Element 26 and resize to 200 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Pine Cone
Position on the left slightly going past the edge of the frame
Apply the same drop shadow again

Open Element 11 and resize to 20%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Skates
Position on the right side of the frame
Apply the same drop shadow again

Id you have another element on your tube – I had the fox
Copy and paste as a new layer, resizing if needed
Position where it looks best
Apply the same drop shadow again

Activate your Snow layer
Use your eraser tool with these settings to soften the bottom edge of the snow
Shape: Circle / Size: 71 / Hardness: 45 / Density & Thickness: 100 / Step: 10 / Rotation: 0  / Opacity: 74

Hide the white background for a minute
Crop away excess canvas
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Edit, Paste as a new layer
Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top
Increase your canvas size to 400 x 400, central placement checked
On the merged layer
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 10
Change the blend mode to Overlay
Reduce the opacity to about 75

Again crop away any excess canvas
Active and unhide white background
Reflood fill with white

Select your text tool and choose a font
Set your foreground to a dark color from your image
Set your background to a lighter color from your image
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Stroke width set to 1.5
Add your name, position where it looks best
Use the nodes to angle/stretch your text if needed
When happy, Convert to raster
Apply the same drop shadow again

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
If you want to save as a jpg/png, hide the white background and save

To Animate
Ensure all layers are visible – Layers, View, View All
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new animation

Open your Simone-Ani169.mng or animation of choice in AS
Look how many frames there are
The one I am using has 30
*optional* resize your animation (Animation, Resize – I set mine to 375 pixels wide)
On the animation – Edit, Copy

Activate your tag and duplicate until you have the same number of frames as the animation
Edit, Select All, Edit, Paste into current Frame
Animation, View

Save as a gif file
All Done 🙂
