Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X7 but any version will do
Tube or Image of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Sidewalk
Break Away kit by Dee

I used the awesome artwork of Rebecca Sinz
You can purchase her work and a license from Elven Star
Please do not use Rebecca’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with white
Open your tube or image of choice, copy and paste as a  new layer
Duplicate this layer and hide the copy
Activate the original

Open the DD_BA_Mask from the kit and minimise
On your tube/image layer
Layers, New Mask Layer, From Image
Look for DD_BA_Mask in the drop down menu

Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Rename masked Image

Open paper 4 and resize to 400 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Move below your Masked Image layer
Apply the mask again using the same settings as above
Rename Masked Paper

Activate Masked Image
Change the blend mode to Hard Light
Reduce the opacity to 65

Activate and unhide your copy of tube/image – rename Tube 1
Open Element 116 and resize to 75%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Position over your tube where it looks best
I placed it so it surrounded the eyes

Duplicate Tube 1, rename Tube 2
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 10
Change the blend mode to Overlay

Select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 5 pixels
Selections, Invert
Activate Tube 1 layer and press delete
Press delete on Tube 2
Selections, None

Activate your Frame
Apply a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 4 / Opacity: 40 / Blur: 9.90 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open Element 44 and resize to 35%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Leaves
Image, Mirror
Position on the right hand side of the frame
Apply the same drop shadow as used on the frame

Open Element 125 and resize to 35%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Pixie House
Position in front of the Leaves
Apply the same drop shadow again

Open Element 124 and resize to 35%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Bottle
Position overlapping the Frame and Pixie House
Apply the same drop shadow

Open Element 70 and resize to 35%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Key
Position in front of the bottle
Apply the same drop shadow again

Open Element 32 and resize to 35%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Grass
Position on the left side of the frame
Add the same drop shadow

Open Element 47 and resize to 35%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Silver Leaf
Image, Rotate, Free Rotate – 90 degrees to the left
Add the same drop shadow again

Activate the frame layer
Open Element 59 and resize to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Ribbon
Position over the bottom of the Silver Leaf, along the base of the frame
Apply the same drop shadow as previously used

Activate your top layer on your layer palette
Open Element 116b and resize to 40%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename WordArt 1
Image, Free Rotate, Rotate left by 9 degrees
Add the same drop shadow as used before
Position so its overlapping over the top edge of the frame
Move down on your layer palette so it’s just below your frame layer

Activate your top layer on your layer palette
Open Element 116a and resize to 40%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename WordArt 2
Image, Free Rotate, Rotate right by 6 degrees
Add the same drop shadow as used before
Position slightly overlapping the previous WordArt a little
Move down on your layer palette so it’s just above WordArt 1

Activate your Ribbon layer
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Sidewalk
Set your foreground to null, background to black or a dark color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name
Use the nodes to angle/stretch your text if required
When happy, Convert to raster
Apply the same drop shadow again

Delete the white background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂
