Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X8 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Font of Choice – Hallendale Deco JL
IB Maryline Cazenave 44-3 kit by Monti’s Scraps
Snow Animation of Choice

I didn’t use any artists tubes in this tut, just the elements from the kit 🙂

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with white
Open Element 19 and resize to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 3 / Opacity: 35 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: #4A4A4A / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open Element 3 and resize by 65%
Copy and paste as a new layer
Position the left snowflake along the left edge of the frame
Select your Selection tool with settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select the left side snowflake

Rename the promoted layer – Left Snowflake

Position the right snowflake on the right side of the frame
Using your selection tool with the same settings, select the right snowflake

Rename the promoted layer – Right Snowflake
Delete the original element 3 layer

Activate Left Snowflake which should be above Right Snowflake

Apply the same drop shadow as used on the frame

Zoom in and select the spring part at the bottom of the snowflakes, just where it overlaps the frame
wc-03
Activate the Frame layer and Selections, Promote selection to layer
Selections, None
Move the promoted later above Snowflakes

Open Element 17
Copy and paste as a new layer, the Image, Mirror
Position where it looks best – rename Scatter
Apply the same drop shadow BUT change the color to a blueish shade – I used: #397399
Move down below the Frame on your layer palette
Erase any excess from the right side of the frame

Open Element 20 and resize to 35%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Star
Apply the same drop shadow BUT set the color back to grey (#4A4A4A)
Position on the left side of the frame
wc-04
Erase the string from the top
Now using your selection tool with the same settings as before
Select any points of the star that are below the frame
wc-05
Selections, Promote selection to layer
On the original, press delete
Selections, None
Move the promoted layer above the Frame layer

Activate your Scatter layer
Open paper 4 or one of choice
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Paper

Using your freehand selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Point to point / Mode: Add (shift) / Feather & Smoothing: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked

Edit, Paste as a new layer – Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 10
Change the blend mode to Soft Light
Crop any excess canvas again
Unhide and activate the white background layer – reflood fill with white again

Select your text tool and choose a font
Set your foreground null, Background set to a paper/color of choice – I used paper 5
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
Use the nodes to stretch/angle if requires
When happy, convert to raster

Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as used previously

Add your scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
At this point you can hide your white background layer and save as a jpg/png
