Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X8 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used DK Boris Brush, MazurkaNF and Barstilla
Xero – Porcelain
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

I used the awesome artwork of Karen Middleton
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Karen’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 175
Set your foreground to a color from your tube
Set your background to a different shade of your foreground color
Set your foreground to a fore/back gradient mix
Style: Linear / Angle: 90 / Repeats: 10
Flood fill your canvas with the gradient

Effects, Distortion Effects, Pixelate
Block width : 20 / Block height: 1 / Symmetric: Unchecked

Select your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select the thicker lines, some might need clicking on twice

Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
Selections, None

Working on the promoted layer
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Random & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 5%

Select your preset shape tool and set it to a 5 pointed star
Set your foreground to null, background set to a complimentary color
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Draw a small star, within one of the lighter color stripes
Objects, Align, Vertical Center in Canvas
Convert to raster and rename Star

Effects, Plugins, MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Choose the *Line preset with these settings:

Still working on your Star layer
Use the Offset (Effects, Image Effects, Offset)
To move your Star line over to the left
These are the settings I used:

Duplicate and working on the copy
Again use the offset to move the copy of star over to the next line

With Copy of Star still active
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Rename Left Star

Duplicate Left Star and rename the copy Right Star
Image, Mirror
Use the offset to reposition
These are my settings

Change both Left Star and Right Star layers to Luminance (Legacy)

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Ensure this is the top layer (Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top)
Position where it looks best
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 5:Impact – Perspective Shadow
Choose the Drop Shadow, Blurry settings
Then Effects, Plugins, Xero – Porcelain
Use the default settings BUT change the Blue Channel to 0
I added my tube again as a new layer and used a different part of it, I applied the same Perspective Shadow and Porcelain

Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Edit, Paste as a new layer
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Soft Light and reduce the opacity to 60
Crop your canvas to 550 x 175

Effects, Plugins, AAA Frames – Foto Frame

Apply the same Foto Frame to each layer

Activate the top layer
Selections, All, Modify, Contract by 11 pixels
Selections, Invert
Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
Selections, None
Change the blend mode to Multiply

Select your text tool and choose a font – I used DK Boris Brush
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your text of choice – I wrote ‘DAFT-O-DIL’ (in caps)
Position where it looks best and convert to raster
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 2 / Opacity: 45 / Blur: 6.93 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Keep your text tool as the active tool but change your font – I used MazurkaNF
Foreground still on null, background set to a complimentary color of choice
All other settings the same
Add the rest of your text – I wrote ‘Being a little’
Position just above your previous text and convert to raster
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 65 / Blur: 6.93 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Change your font again, I used Barstilla
Keep all your other settings the same
Add your name and position where it looks best, then convert to raster
Effects, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂
