English Country Garden

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X8 but any version will do
Photo and matching Photo Tube of choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Beautification and BeautyLove
Rectangle Button by Me

I used the awesome artwork of Jamie Kidd
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Jamie’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open the Rectangle Button provided, press shift +D to duplicate
Close the original for another day
Delete the credit layer and crop away the excess canvas
Resize to 375 pixels wide, all layers checked
Image, Increase the canvas size to 400 x 400
Select the Bottom Center for placement
Then change the Bottom to 50

Activate the BG layer
Copy and paste your photo as a new layer – rename Photo
Position where it looks best within the button
Duplicate and working on the copy
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 10
Change the blend mode to Screen and reduce the opacity to 55

Activate the BG layer again
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Press delete on Photo and Copy of Photo
Selections, None

Image, Decrease Color Depth, 2 Colors
Edit, Copy, Edit Undo
Edit, Paste as a new layer – rename Color Depth
Position above Copy of Photo
Activate the BG layer again
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Activate the Color Depth and press delete
Selections, None
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity 40

Activate Glass NO Shadow
Copy and paste your photo tube as a new layer – rename Photo Tube
Resize if required, I resized by 45%, all layers unchecked
Position along the top of the button, or where it looks best
Add a drop shadow of choice to your Photo Tube layer – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 3.96 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Beautification
Set your foreground to null, background to white or a very light color from your tag
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your text – I wrote ‘English Country Garden’
Position along the top of the button
Do Not Convert yet
Duplicate and on the copy, Convert to raster

On the original
Click the + sign on your layer palette
Right click on the indented layer and select Properties
Change the background color to darker color of choice from your tag
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Image Effects, Offset
Horizontal Offset: 2 / Vertical Offset: 0 / Transparent & Custom: Checked
Add the same drop shadow as used on Photo Tube to your original text layer

Change your font – I used BeautyLove
Apply your name using the same steps as above
When you do the Offset set the Horizontal to 4 and the Vertical to 1

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 😀
