Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used AR Bonnie and Magnolia Sky
WSL_Mask117 by Chelle
Xenofex 2 – Lightning
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
ScrapFoxy_MarylineCazenave-Package-63 by Foxys Designz

I used the awesome artwork of Maryline Cazenave
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Maryline’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with white
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed, I resized to 55%

Activate your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance: 10 / Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select the crystal ball on the tube
You will probably need to zoom in and click a few times to get it all selected
Selections, Promote selection to layer
Selections, None
Rename the promoted selection Base

Duplicate Base 3 times and rename the copies 1, 2 and 3
With 3 your active layer
Effects, Plugins, Xenofex 2 – Lightning
Reposition the circles to where you think they look best

Then use these settings:

Add 3 and activate 2
Repeat the Lightning BUT press Random Seed once
Hide 2 and activate 1
Repeat the Lightning BUT press Random Seed once

Activate Base
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Selections, Modify, Feather by 3
Selections, Invert
Press delete THREE TIMES on layers 1, 2 and 3
Selections, None
Delete the base layer
Activate the tube layer and add a drop shadow of choice – I used
V: 0 / H: 5 / Opacity: 62 / Blur: 10.89 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate the white background layer
Open Element 40 and resize to 325 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Tree
Position where it looks best behind the tube
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 2 / Opacity: 62 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open Element 38 and resize to 275 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Web
Duplicate and on the copy
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5

Activate the Tube layer
Open Element 6 and resize to 250 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Leaf
Position along the base of the tube
Add the same drop shadow as used on the tree

Open Element 25 and resize to 275 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Leaves
Image, Mirror
Move below the Leaf layer
Add the same drop shadow
Erase any excess tube from below the Leaf and Leaves layers

Activate the white background layer
Add a new raster layer
Open a paper of choice – I used paper 10
Resize to 400 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for WSL_Mask117 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize by 90%, all layers unchecked
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 2

Activate the Leaf layer which should be the top layer
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used AR Bonnie
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Type out your word of choice – I wrote ‘SPOOKED’
Position where it looks best
When happy, Convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Duplicate the text, on the original
Change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Overlay

Keep your text tool active and change the font – I used Magnolia Sky
Keep the settings the same, changing the background color if required
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, Convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Hide the white background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
At this point you can save as a jpg/png

To Animate
Ensure layers 2 and 3 are hidden
Unhide the white background
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Open Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new animation

Back to PSP
Hide layer 1 and unhide layer 2
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS – Edit, Paste after Current Frame

Back to PSP
Hide layer 2 and unhide layer 3
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS – Edit, Paste after Current Frame

Remain in AS
Edit, Select All
Animation, Frame Properies
Change the frame speed to 25
Save as a gif file
All Done 😀
