Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X8 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used ChunkFive Roman, BankGothic Lt and Fanantic
WSL_Mask417 by Chelle

I used the awesome artwork of Molly Harrison
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Molly’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with green #1FD410
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Duplicate your tube and position in an empty space on the canvas
Continue doing this until your canvas is full
hc-01
Crop the canvas to 400 x 400
Hide the green layer
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible the tube layers
Rename BG 1
Duplicate and rename the copy BG 2
Hide BG 2 for now

Activate BG 1
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for WSL_Mask417 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to canvas and Hide all layer: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Apply the mask again with the same settings
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Activate BG 2
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 10
Apply the same mask to this layer
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Change the blend mode to Color (Legacy)

Copy and paste your tube again as a new layer – rename Top Tube
Resize if needed, I resized to 55%, all layers unchecked
Position your tube where it looks best
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Tube Back
Move below the tube layer
Flood fill with a complimentary color
Selections, None
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 4 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 3.96 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate Top Tube and duplicate it
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 4
Change the blend mode to Overlay
Reduce the opacity to 70

Select your text tool and choose a bold font – I used ChunkFive Roman
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your text of choice – I wrote HALLOWEEN’S
Position along the base of your tube
When happy with the size and placement – Convert to raster

Duplicate the text layer
On the original layer – Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
Flood fill with a complimentary color
Selections, None
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 10%
Add the same drop shadow as just used

On the copy of text
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

With the copy still active – Layers, Merge, Merge Down

Still with your text tool, choose another font – I used BankGothic Lt
Keep your settings the same, changing the background color if needed
Add your text of choice – I wrote ····COMING····
Position under your previous text
When happy, convert to raster
Add the same drop shadow BUT change the V to 2

Still with your text tool, choose another font – I used Fanatic
Keep the settings the same, changing the background color if needed
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Duplicate and working on the original – Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
Flood fill with a complimentary color
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 15%
Add the original drop shadow (V set to 4)

On the copy of text
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel – same settings as before
With the copy still active – Layers, Merge, Merge Down

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the green background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 😀
