Goddess Of The Earth

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X8 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Harting, Channel and PhoenixScript
Eye Candy 4000 – Glass and Gradient Glow
RD_MaskSet72_Mask2 by Rachel

I used the awesome artwork of Rebecca Sinz
You can purchase her work and a license from Elven Star Art Tubes
Please do not use Rebecca’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with White
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename BG
Select your preset shape tool with these settings:
Shape: Rectangle / Anti-Alias & Create as Vector: Checked / Line style: Solid / Line width: 5
Set your foreground to white, background set to null
Draw a vertical rectangle on the left side of the tube
Try to include at least half of the facial features
Convert to raster and rename Left Rectangle

Duplicate and rename the copy Right Rectangle
Image, Mirror
If the Right rectangle is too far to the right
Effects, Image Effects, Offset – these are the settings I used, just play about until you like the position
Activate Left Rectangle
Select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the right rectangle
Selections, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
ACtivate the BG layer
Selections, Promote Selection to layer
Selections, None
Rename the promted layer – Left Tube 1
Duplicate and rename Left Tube 2

Activate Left Tube 2
Adjust, Blur Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Overlay
Activate Left Rectangle and select inside with your magic wand (same settings as before)
Selections, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
Selections, Invert
Activate Left Tube 2 and press delete
Selections, None

Repeat on the right side with the same settings EXCEPT:
On Right Tube 1 – set the blend mode to Lumaince (Legacy)

Activate BG
Layer, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RD_MaskSet72_Mask2 or one of choice
Source luminance, Fit to canvas and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Apply the mask with the same settings again
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Adjust, Hue & Saturation, Colorize
H: 147 / S: 18
Duplicate and on the copy – Adjust, Blur Gaussian Blur – radius set to 2
Change the opacity of both layers to 75

Activate Left Rectangle
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 3 / Opacity: 45 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchcked
Add the same drop shadow to the Right Rectangle

Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Harting
Set your foreground to null, background set to a light grey – I used #7C848C
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Type out ‘GODDESS’
Position along the top of the two rectangles
When happy, convert to raster
Duplicate and on the copy
Press Shift + G to open the Gamma Correction tool
Set all 3 values to 0.5
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 3
Effects, Image Effects, Offset
Horizontal Offset: 4 / Vertical Offset: 0 / Custom & Transparent: Checked
Reduce the opacity to 75

Select your text tool again and choose another font – I used Channel
Keep your settings the same BUT change the background color if required
Type out ‘of the earth’
Position just overlapping the bottom edge of the previous text
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Add the same drop shadow as used on the Rectangle layers

Still with your text tool, choose another font – I used PhoenixScript
Keep the same settings again changing the background color if needed
Add your your name and position where it looks best
Convert to raster
Effects, Eye Candy 4000 – Glass
Using your Lighten/Darken Brush with these settings:
Shape: Round / Size: 32 / Hardness: 50 / Step: 10 / Density, Thickness & Opacity: 100 / Rotation: 0
Skim accross the top of your name
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Add the same drop shadow

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the white background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
