Blue Love

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Flowerroom Script
MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Preset Shapes of Choice – I used some by Shawna
BigMask018 by Vix

I used the awesome artwork of Marika
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Marika’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with white
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a color from your tube
Select your preset shape tool and choose a shape of choice – I used a heart
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Draw a small shape
Objects, Align, Center in Canvas
Convert to raster

Effects, Plugins, MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Choose the Tile preset

Set your eraser tool with these settings:
Shape: Square / Size: 20 / Hardness, Density, Thickness & Opacity: 100 / Step: 10 / Rotation: 0
You want the size a little bit bigger than one of the shapes
Erase every other shape
Once you have erased every other shape, Layers, Merge, Merge Down

Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Vix_BigMask018 or mask of choice
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize by 85%, all layers unchecked

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Base Tube
Resize by 65%, all layers unchecked
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 7
Change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
Erase any tube that is outside the masked area

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer again – rename Main Tube
Resize by 60%, all layers unchecked
Position to one side of the Base Tube
Duplicate the Main Tube
On the copy – apply the same Gaussian Blur
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 70
Add a drop shadow of choice to Main Tube, I used:
V&H: 3 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 10.89 / Color: Black ./ Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate Base Tube
Select your preset shape tool and choose a shape I used SK Hearts 05
Set your foreground to a color of choice, background set to null
Stroke set to 3
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
If using the same shape as me, turn your foreground off and background on
Draw out your shape and position on the left side of your main tube
Convert to raster, rename Shape 1

Set your foreground to a darker shade, set your background to a lighter shade
Change your foreground to a fore/back gradient mix
Style: Linear / Angle: 45 / Repeats: 0
Select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside one of the hearts
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with the gradient, rename Shape 1 Fill
Selections, None

Activate Shape 1
Select inside the other heart
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Activate Shape 1 Fill
Invert your gradient and flood fill the selected area
Selections, None
Move the Shape 1 Fill below Shape 1 layer

Activate Shape 1 again
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 25%
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 1 / Opacity: 25 / Blur: 4.95 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Activate Shape 1 Fill and change the blend mode to Multiply

Activate Shape 1
Select your preset shape tool and choose another shape – I used SK Hearts 15
Set your foreground to a color of choice, background set to null
Stroke set to 3
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Draw out your shape and position on the right of the Main Tube
When happy, Convert to raster and rename Shape 2

With your magic wand (same settings as before)
Select inside the main body of the shape
Selections, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Shape 2 Fill
Flood fill with the same gradient as before
Selections, None
Move the fill layer below the shape layer
Change the blend mode to Screen

Activate Shape 2
Apply the same noise and the same drop shadow as used on Shape 1

Select your selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select the bottom part of your tube if it’s lower then masked area

Selections, Modify, Feather by 25
Press delete on both Main Tube and Copy of Main Tube layers
Selections, None

Activate Copy of Main Tube
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Flowerroom Script
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, Convert to raster
Duplicate your name layer
On the original – Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 35%
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 3 / Opacity: 25 / Blur: 4.95 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Activate the copy and Layers, Merge, Merge Down

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the white background layer
Drop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 😀
