Bloom

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Image of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Pretty Girls Script
RR_MaskSet11_2 by Rachel
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Let Love Bloom kit by Gimptastic Scraps

I used the awesome artwork of Jamie Kidd
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Jamie’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with grey #A9A9A9
Open Paper4 and resize to 350 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RR_MaskSet11_2 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Open Frame 2 and resize to 250 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Image, Free Rotate, 18 degrees to the right

Open your image, copy and paste as a new layer – rename Image
Image, Free Rotate, 18 degrees to the right
Position within the frame
Resize if needed, I resized by 75%, all layers unchecked

Duplicate your image
Working on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 70

Activate Frame and select your magic wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Selections, Modify, Expand by 5
Selections, Invert
Press delete on both the Image and Copy of Image layers
Selections, None

Activate the Frame layer
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 3 / H: 4 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 5 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open Ele33 and resize to 300 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Hearts
Position where they look best
Duplicate and on the original, add the same drop shadow as used on the frame

Working on the Copy of Hearts
Resize by 60%, all layers unchecked
Image, Mirror
Again position where it looks best and add the same drop shadow

Open Ele25 and select your selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select one of the flowers from ele25
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Flower
Position where it looks best and add the same drop shadow
Add more flowers if you wish

Open the Wordart and resize to 300 pixels wide
Using your selection tool again, with the same settings
Draw a selection round the BLOOM portion of the wordart
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Wordart
Position where it looks best
Duplicate and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Soft Light and reduce the opacity to 59
Add the same drop shadow to the original layer

Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Pretty Girls Script
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name
Convert to raster
Image, Free Rotate, Left 18 degrees
Position where it looks best
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as used previously

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the grey background layer
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂
