Burning For You

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Flesh Of Blood BB
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Mask 65 MB and SW by Staci
Fire Animation of choice – I used one from Animation Pkg 254 by Rebel Dezigns
IB Michael Landefeld 29-1 by LHD Scraps

I used the awesome artwork of Anna Liwanag
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Anna’s work without purchasing a license first.

Note: This is a retired bonus tube from September 2016

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 500 x 500 and flood fill with white
Open Frame 2 and resize to 50%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame

Open Ele21 and resize to 50%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Cauldron
Move below the Frame layer
Position in the right side frame
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 3 / Opacity: 55 / Blur: 6.93 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Select your Selection Tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select the top part of the Cauldron that is covered by the Frame

Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
Press delete on the original Cauldron layer
Selections, None
Rename the Promoted Selection – Cauldron Top
Move above the Frame layer

Activate the Frame layer
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Position on the left side of the frame
Resize if required, I resized by 75%, all layers Unchecked
Lower the opacity on your tube so you can see the Frame
I reduced mine to 53
With your selection tool again and the same settings
Select the bottom part of the Frame that your tube covers

Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
Selections, None
Rename the Promoted Selection – Frame Top
Erase any tube that is below the bottom of the frame
Move the Frame Top above the Tube

Activate your tube and duplicate
On the original, add the same drop shadow as used on the Cauldron
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 8
Change the blend mode to Overlay
Reduce the opacity to about 80

Activate the Frame layer
Select your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the right section of the Frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer – rename it Right Back
Copy and paste a paper of choice into the selection (I used Paper3)
Selections, None
Move Right Back below both the Frame and Cauldron
Activate the Frame and add the same drop shadow

With your magic wand select inside the left section
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer – rename it Left Back
Copy and paste a paper of choice into the selection (I used Paper2)
Selections, None
Move Left Back below the Frame

Activate Copy of Tube
Open Ele3
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Berries
Position at the top of the right side if the frame

Add the same drop shadow
Erase any of the Berries on the left side

Open Ele9 and resize to 40%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Pumpkin
Position between the two frames at the bottom
Duplicate and on the original, apply the same drop shadow
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 15
Change the blend mode to Overlay

Activate the white background
Open Ele20 and resize to 30%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Leaves
Position on the right side of the frame so you can just see some of the leaves
Add the same drop shadow

Activate the white background again
Open Paper6 and resize to 500 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Mask
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Mask 65 MB and SW or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize to 75%, all layers Unchecked

Activate Copy of Pumpkin, which should be your top layer
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Flesh Of Blood BB
Set your foreground to null, background set to orange (#E74604)
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, Convert to raster – rename Base Text
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Open Ele22, copy and paste as a new layer – rename Text 2
Position in the selected area
Selections, Invert and on Text 2, press delete
Selections, None

Duplicate Text 2
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 7
Change the blend mode to Multiply

Activate Base Text
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as used throughout

With base text still active
Layers, View, Current Only
Now unhide Text 2 and Copy of Text 2
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible – rename Name
Layers, View, View All

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Hide the white background
Crop away any excess canvas
At this point you can save as a jpg/png

To Animate
Activate Cauldron layer
Layers, View, View Current Only
Unhide Right Back too
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged

Open Aniamtion Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new animation
Staying in AS
Open your fire animation of choice – I used 765 from pkg254
Press Shift + D to duplicate and close the original aniamtion
On the copy of animation, resize to 35%

Make a note of how many frames it has, mine has 25

On your Cauldron image
Duplicate until it has the same amoutn of frames as your animation

On the fire animation – Edit, Select All, Copy
Back to the Cauldron image
Edit, Select All, Paste into current frame
Position the fire covering the bottom of the cauldron

Back to PSP
Layers, View, View All
Hide the Cauldron and Right Back layers

Activate the Frame layer
Select inside the right side of the frame with your magic wand (same settings as before)
Click again closer to the frame to include the shadow part

Selections, Modify, Expand by 5 pixels
Activate Mask layer and press delete
Activate white background and press delete
Selections, None
You should have something like this now

Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste as a new animation
Duplicate this until is has the same amount of frames as your animated image
Edit, Select All
Activate the animated image
Edit, Select All, Paste into current frame
Save as a gift file
All Done 😀
