Music Is My Weakness

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Wild One
Eye Candy 6: Text Selection – Gradient Glow
Scraps by Crys portion of the CDO Lets Dance Collab 2018 (no longer available)

I used the awesome artwork of Michael Landefeld
I purchased this tube when Michael was with CILM, you can now purchase his work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Michael’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with grey #929292
Open Splatter and resize to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Splat
Duplicate twice, so you have 3 Splatter layers
Rename the first copy – Splat Blur
Rename the second copy – Splat Mutliply

Move the Splat Blur below the Splat layer
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
On Splat Mutliply, change the blend mode to Mulitply

Open Frame 1 and resize to 250 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Select your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 5 pixels
Copy and paste a paper of choice as a new layer – I used Paper 6
Rename this layer Frame Back
Position where it looks best within the frame
Selections, Invert and press delete
Selections, None
Move the Frame Back below the Frame layer

Activate Frame
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed, I resized by 65%, all layers unchecked
Position where it looks best
Duplicate and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 75
On the original tube layer
Apply a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 4 / Opacity: 55 / Blur: 13.86 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Activate Copy of Tube – Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Rename Tube

Grab your Selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select part of your tube to go behind the frame – I selected the right leg
Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
On the original Tube layer, press delete
Selections, None
Move the Promoted Layer below the Frame layer

Open Leaves and resize to 250 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Leaves
Image, Free Rotate, Left 90 degrees
Position where it looks best next to your tube
Add the same drop shadow
Duplicate and apply the same gaussian blur as used on your tube
Change the blend mode to Soft Light
Layers, Merge, Merge Down – rename Leaves
I selected part of the leaves the same way as I did with the tube and placed them behind the tube

Open Music and resize to 75%
Select some of the notes
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Music
Position where it looks best and add the same drop shadow

Open Sparkles and resize to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Sparkled
Position where they look best accross your tag

Hide the grey background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Paste as a new layer – rename Top Blur
Increase the canvas size to 400 x 400, central placement selected
Ensure Top Blur is active and the top layer (Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top)
Apply the same gaussian blur again
Change the blend mode to Soft Light and reduce the opacity to 71

Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Wild Ones
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
WHen happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 6: Text Selection – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as previously used
Move below the Top Blur layer

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 😀
