Under The Sea

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used LD Charming Light
RD_Mask746 by Rachel
BigMask019 by Vix
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Animation of Choice – I used Ani75 from Pkg22 by Rebel Dezigns
JBG Tube/Scrap Bundle pkg192 by Chaos Priestess

I used the awesome artwork of Jasmine Becket-Griffith
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Jasmine’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 500 x 500 and flood fill with white
Open Frame4 and resize to 332 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame 1
Select your Freehand Selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Point to point / Mode: Add (shift) / Feather & Smoothing: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select around the darker part of the Frame

Open a Paper of choice – I used Paper4
Add a new raster layer – rename Frame Back
Copy and paste the paper into the selection
Selections, None
Move the Frame Back below Frame 1 layer
Add a drop shadodw of choice – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 75 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open El28
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Splat
Position where it looks best within the Frame
Change the blend mode to Hard Light
Activate Frame Back – Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Activate Splat and press delete
Selections, None

Activate Frame 1
Open Frame1 and resize to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame 2
Position over the top of Frame1
Add the same drop shadow

Open El37 and resize to 350 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Glitter
Positon on the left side of Frames
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 2 / Opacity: 65 / Blur: 7.92 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open El38
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Flowers
Position the Flowers on the bottom right of the Frames
Carefully erase the ropes from the left and the butterflies from the right (if you want)
I selected the area’s to be deleted on my screen shot below

Add the same drop shadow as used on the Glitter layer

Open El11 and resize to 200 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Shell
Position in the middle of the of the Frames at the bottom
Add the same drop shadow as used the on the Flowers

Activate Glitter layer
Open El18 and resize to 250 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Bush
Position on the right side of the Frames
Duplicate and on the original, add the same drop shsdow as used on the Shell
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Overlay

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if required, I resized by 45%, all layers unchecked
Position within the frame area

Duplicate your tube and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 15
Change the blend mode to Overlay
On the original Tube layer – add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 4 / Opacity: 75 / Blur: 13.86 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Grab your selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Activate Frame 2
Select the bottom part where it covers your tube

Promote Selection to layer
On the original Frame 2 layer, press delete
Selections, None
Move the Promoted Selection layer above your tube layer
Erase any tube from outside Frame 2, below the Shell and to the right of the Flowers

Activate the white background layer
Open a paper of choice – I used Paper2
Resize to 500 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer and rename Mask 1
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RD_Mask746 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all layer: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize by 95%, all layers unchecked

Open another paper and resize to 500 pixels, I used Paper8
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Mask 2
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Vix_BigMask019 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all layer: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize by 95%, all layers unchecked
Duplicate and on the copy, change the blend mode to Multiply
Reduce the opacity to 63

Activate the Shell layer, which should be the top layer
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used LD Charming Light
Set your foreground and background to the same color
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Stroke width set to 1.0
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as used on your tube

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Hide the white background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
At this point you can save as a jpg/png

To Animate
Unhide the white background layer
Hide your Name, Credits, Shell and Flowers layers
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Open Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new animation

Staying in AS
Open your animation of choice
On your tag image, duplicate until it has the same amount of frames as your animation
On the animation – Edit, Select All, Copy
On the tag – Edit, Select All, Paste into current frame
Position where it looks best

Back to PSP
Layers, View, None
Unhide Flower, Shell, Name and Credits
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS – Edit, Paste as a new animation
Duplicate so it has the same number of Frames
Edit, Select All
On your tag image – Edit, Select All, Paste into current frame

I selected bits of the animation to go in front of the Shell/Flowers
Save as a gif file
