Dragon Tamer

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Really Hot Sauce Script
RR_MaskSet8_2 by Rachel
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
IB-JasmineBecketGriffith-May2018-BT kit by Chaos Priestess

I used the awesome artwork of Jasmine Becket-Griffith
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Jasmine’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 500 x 500 and flood fill with white
Open Frame3 and resize to 400 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Image, Free Rotate, 90 degrees to the right
Move it down slighlty on the canvas

Activate the white background
Open El02
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Grass 1
Position so the right clump is a the bottom right of the frame

Duplicate and rename the copy Grass 2
Move Grass 2 over to the right so you can see the clump on the left

Move Grass 2 below Grass 1 on your layer palette

With Grass 2 still the active layer
Press Shift + G to open your Gamma Correction Tool
Set all 3 values to 0.66
Activate Grass 1, press Shift + G again
Set all 3 values to 0.85
Erase any of Grass 1 and Grass 2 that is outside the frame

Activate the Frame and select your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the Frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 5 pixels
Activate the white background layer
Add a new raster layer – name it Frame Back 1
Open a paper of choice and copy and paste into the selection – I used Paper2
Keep Selected and add another raster layer – name it Frame Back 2
Copy and paste another paper of choice into the selection – I used Paper6
Selections, None
Change the blend mode on Frame Back 2 to Multiply

Activate the Frame layer
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 45 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open El19 and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Tree
Position along the base of the frame
Add the same drop shadow as used on the frame

Activate the Frame again
Open El05 and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Rope
Position along the top of the Frame
Add the same drop shadow

Open El03 and resize to 150 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Hearts
Position on the left side of the Frame, coming up from behind the Tree
Add the same drop shadow

Open El01 and resize to 350 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Branch
Position on the left edge of the Frame overlapping the hearts and coming from behind the tree
Add the same drop shadow

Activate the Tree
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed, I resized to 40%, all layers unchecked
Position so it looks like your tube is sitting on the tree
Add the same drop shadow BUT change the V&H to 4

Open El02 (again) and resize to 250 pixels wide
Press Shift + G and set all 3 values to 0.70
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Grass 3
Image, Mirror
Position the left end of Grass 3 in the gap on the tree to the left

Move Grass 3 below the Tree layer on your layer palette

Activate the white background layer
Add a new raster layer – name it Mask
Flood fill with a complimentary color, I used: #58100E
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RR_MaskSet8_2 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize by 85%, all layers unchecked
Reposition if needed

Activate your tube which should be your top layer
Select your text tool and choos a font – I usd Really Hot Sauce Script
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 0 / Opacity: 75 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Delete the white background layer
Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 😀
