Unicorn Dreams

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Mochafloat
RD_Mask747 by Rachel
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Chaos Priestess’ portion of the CDO Rainbows & Unicorns Collab 2018

I used the awesome artwork of Anna Marine

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 550 and flood fill with white
Open Frame1 and resize to 400 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Grab your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the Frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by10 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Frame Back
Copy and paste a paper of choice into the selection – I used Paper6
Selections, None
Move Frame Back below the Frame layer on your layer palette

With Frame Back the active layer
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Position where it looks best within the frame
Duplicate your tube and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 9
Change the blend mode to Overlay
On the original tube layer, change the blend mode to Luminance
Activate Frame Back – Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Activate Tube and press delete
Activate Copy of Tube and press delete
Selections, None

Activate the Frame
Add ad rop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 3 / Opacity: 36 / Blur: 3.96 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate the white background layer
Open El05 and resize to 400 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Pillar
Position with the left pillar left of the frame

Erase the right side including the top part above the frame
I selected the area to be deleted

Add the same drop shadow as used on the frame

Activate the white background again
Open El19 and resize by 75%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Cloud 1
Position so you can just see the top of the cloud above the frame
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 4

Activate the Frame
Open El04 and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Flowers 1
Position the right clump of flowers on the right of the frame
Use your Freehand Selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Point to point / Mode: Add (shift) / Feather & Smoothing: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select the left clump of flowers

Selections, Promote Selection to layer
On the original, press delete
Selections, None
On the promoted layer – rename Flowers 2
Image, Mirror – move below the Frame layer and position on the left of the frame
Add the same drop shadow to both Flowers 1 and Flowers 2

Activate the Frame layer
Open El07 and resize to 300 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Stones
Position so some are on/at the bottom of the Frame

Erase any stones you don’t want/need
Add the same drop shadow

Open El23 and resize to 425 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Sparkles
Position where it looks best

OPen El19 again
Edit, Undo if you still had it open
Resize to 45%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Cloud 2
Position at the top of the Frame
Apply the same Gaussian Blur as used on Cloud 1
Duplicate and move the copy to the left/right where it looks best

Activate the white background layer
Open a paper of choice and resize to 550 pixels – I used Paper5
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RD_Mask747 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Select your Freehand Selection tool again with the same settings as before
Select the top part of the mask above Cloud 1

Select your Manual Color Correction tool (mini tut here)
Recolor the selected part of the mask to blue

Selections, None

Activate the top layer on your layer palette
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Mochafloat
Set your foreground & background to the same color
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Stroke width set to 1
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the white background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂
