Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
3 or 4 Tubes of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Wheatbread & The Luiston Italic
Kirsty08-Mask-3-Feb08 by Kirsty
MB and SW Mask 90 by Staci
Filters Unlimited 2.0 – Paper Textures
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

I used the awesome artwork of PinUp Toons
You can purchase his work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Rion’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 550 and flood fill with grey #AAAAAA
Select your preset shape tool with these settings:
Shape: Rounded Rectangle / Anti-Alias & Create as Vector: Checked / Line style: Solid / Width: 2.00
Set your foreground to null, background to white
Draw a rounded rectangle approx 112 x 112
Convert to raster and rename 1
Duplicate 3 times for a total of 4 layers
Rename the copies – 2, 3 and 4

Activate 1
Image, Free Rotate, Left by 10 degrees
Activate 3
Image, Free Rotate, Right by 12 degrees
Arrange them in a line slightly overlapping each other
Move 4 below 3 on the layer palette
This is what I have

Activate 1 – Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Copy and paste your first tube of choice as a new layer – rename Tube 1
Position within the selected area – it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t completely fill the area

Selections, Invert
Make sure you are on Tube 1 and press delete
Selections, None
Duplicate Tube 1
On the original change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
On Copy of Tube 1 change the blend mode to Overlay
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 3
Activate 1 again
Using your Manual Color Correction tool (mini tut here)
Change the color from white to a color to compliment your tube

Repeat the above step for squares 2 and 3
Use a different color from your tubes on each square
Grab your eraser tool and on each tube layer erase around the edge of the canvas

Activate 4
Recolor to a complimentary color that matches the rest of your tag
Duplicate and on the copy – Apply the same Gaussian Blur
On the original 4 – Effects, Plugins, <I.C. Net Software>, Filters Unlimited 2.0 – Paper Textures
Choose a texture and play about with the settings until you get a look you like

Activate your Grey background layer
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a gold/brass gradient of choice
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 3
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Kirsty08-Mask-3-Feb08 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to Canvas, Hide all Mask & Invert transparancy: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize by 85%, all layers unchecked
Move down so the Crown of the mask is coming from behind

Erase most of the mask, leaving just the crown
I selected the area to be deleted on my screen shot below

Duplicate your Mask layer
On the original – Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Uniform & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 50%
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 1 / H: 3 / Opacity: 30 / Blur: / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

On the copy – Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Activate the grey background layer
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a color/pattern/gradient of choice
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for MB and SW Mask 90 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to Canvas & Hide all Mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Reposition so it sits more behind the main tag area
Duplicate and on the copy change the blend mode to Color (legacy) or one that suits you mask

Activate Copy of Tube 2
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Wheatbread
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Type out your text of choice – I wrote {PINUP TOONS}
Position along the top of the squares
When happy, convert to raster
Duplicate and on the original, apply the same Gradient Glow
Add the same noise and drop shadow

Activate the top layer on your layer palette
Select your text tool again and choose a font – I used The Luiston Italic
Keep your settings the same, changing the color if required
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Apply the same gradient glow
Add the noise BUT change the Noise to 30%
Add the same drop shadow
On the copy , add the same Inner Bevel as used on the crown mask layer

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete your grey background layer
Crop away excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 🙂

Another sample I made using the art of Elias Chatzoudis, who is also licensed through CDO. I used these tubes {here}, {here}, {here} and {here}. Scraps are from an exclusive kit I got from Pimp’d Designz, many many moons ago, called Picture Perfect. Fonts used are Types Funky: for {selfie},  Anchor: for Queen and Just Peachy: for the names
