New Heart

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Unicorn Calligraphy
RD_Mask739 and RD_Mask750 by Rachel
BigMask001 by Vix
Eye Candy 3.1 – Glass
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
New Heart kit by Chaos Priestess

I used the awesome artwork of Barbara Jensen
You can purchase her work and a license from Barbara Jensen Tubes
Please do not use Barbara’s work without purchasing a license first.
I purchased this tube as an exclusive from SATC (now closed)

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 500 and flood fill with white
Open HeartEl01 and resize to 400 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Heart String
Move down your canvas slightly
Duplicate and working on the original
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 10

Activate the white background layer
Open FrameEl06 and resize to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Position so the right side of the Frame is tucked behind the heart on the right of the Heart String

Open Label_01
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Label
Position at the bottom of the Frame
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: -4 / H: 4 / Opacity: 65 / Blur: 15.84 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Erase any label that is outside the frame

Activate Frame
Open RibbonEl02 and resize to 400 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Flower String
Image, Mirror
Position along the top of the frame
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 2 / Opacity: 59 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Grab your selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select the right part of Flower String where it goes behind the frame

Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
On the original layer, press delete
Selections, None
On the Promoted Selection rename Flower String Low
Move this layer below the Frame layer

Activate Flower String
Open BalloonEl and resize by 75%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Balloon
Positon on the right so the bow of the balloon string in at the top of the heart on the Heart String
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 40 / Blur: 8.91 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate the Frame layer
Grab your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 10 pixels
Open a paper of choice – I used Paper04
Resize to 400 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame Back
Selections, Invert and press delete on Frame Back layer
Selections, None
Move the Frame Back layer below Flower String Low

Activate the white background layer
Open BackdropEl01 and resize to 450 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Backdrop
Position behind your main tag area
Select your Freehand Selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Point to point / Mode: Add (shift) / Feather & Smoothing: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select some of the hearts that surround the Backdrop

Using your Manual Color Correction tool (mini tut here)
Recolor those hearts to a complimentary color of choice
These are settings I used:

Selections, None
Duplicate and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 3

Activate the white background layer
Open a paper of choice – I used Paper03
Resize to 500 pixels
Add a new raster layer to the paper and flood fill with a complimentary color of choice – I used #517FC8
Change the blend mode to Multiply
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Paste as a new layer on your main tag
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Vix_BigMask001 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Rename Mask 1

Open another paper of choice – I used Paper09
Resize to 500 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RD_Mask739 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize to 90%, all layers unchecked
Rename Mask 2

Open another paper of choice – I used Paper04
Resize to 500 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Apply the same mask as just used with the same settings
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize to 90%, all layers unchecked
Rename Mask 3

Activate Frame Back
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed, I resized to 85%, all layers unchecked
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 7 / Opacity: 59 / Blur: 18.81 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
Using your Selection Tool, same settings as before
Select the top part of your tube that is covered by Flower String and Frame

Selections, Promote Selection to layer
On the original, press delete
Selections, None
Move the promoted selection to the top of the layer palette
Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top
Erase any of the original tube layer you can see below the frame

Open a paper of choice again, I used Paper03
Resize to 500 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for RD_Mask750 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Rename Mask 4
Change the blend mode to Soft Light
Reduce the opacity to 73

Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Unicorn Calligraphy
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 3.1 – Glass

Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: -6 / Opacity: 38 / Blur: 9.9 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the white background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 😀
