Wings Have Eyes

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Kite Script
MuRa’s Meister – Copies
DSB Flux – Bubbles
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

I used the awesome artwork of Jasmine Becket-Griffith
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Jasmine’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 550 and flood fill with white
Copy and paste your tube/close up as a new layer – rename Tube 1
Dupilcate your tube and rename the copy Tube 2
On Tube 1 add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 3 / Opacity: 60 / Blur: 9.90 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
On Tube 2 – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 7
Change the blend mode to Overlay

Select your preset shape tool with these settings:
Shape: Rectangle / Anti-Alias & Create as Vector: Checked / Line style: Solid / Width: 5.00
Set your foreground to a color of choice, background set to null
Draw a rectangle round your tube, leave some of the tube outside the rectangle

When happy, convert to raster – rename Top Frame
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Random & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 50%
Duplicate and rename the copy Bottom Frame
Move Bottom Frame below your Tube 1 layer

Activate Top Frame
Erase any parts of the frame where you want your tube in front of it
If you have any tube outside the frame that you don’t want, erase it now
Activate the white background layer
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer again – rename BG 1
Effects, Plugins, MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Choose the Wallpaper *Rotate at default settings
If this doesn’t cover the whole canvas, repeat the Wallpaper again, with the same settings
Once happy – Adjust, Blur , Motion Blur
Angle: 140 / Strength: 100

Activate Bottom Frame
Select your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the Frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
Activate BG1 – Selections, Promote Selection to Layer – rename Frame BG
Selections, None
Hide BG1 for now

Activate Top Frame
Select your preset shape tool with these settings:
Shape: Ellipse / Anti-Alias & Create as Vector: Checked / Line style: Solid / Width: 5.00
Set your foreground to a color of choice, background set to null
Draw an ellipse as wide as your Top Frame and a little taller

When happy, convert to raster – rename Ellipse

Add the same noise to the Ellipse layer as used on the Frames before
Move this layer below Frame BG
Select inside with your magic wand same settings as before
Selections, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
Activate BG 1 – Selections, Promote Selection to Layer – rename E BG 1
Selections, None
With E BG 1 the active layer – Duplicate
On the copy – Image, Mirror
Effects, Edge Effects, Enhance
Change the blend mode to Overlay

Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Selections, Modify, Expand by 25 pixels
Selections, Modify, Feather by 10 pixels
Activate BG 1 – Selections, Promote Selection to Layer – rename Main BG 1
Selections, None
On Main BG 1, Duplicate and Image, Mirror
On the copy – Effects, Edge Effects, Enhance More
Change the blend mode to Screen
Lower the opacity to about 69

Activate Main BG 1 and duplicate again
On the original – Effects, Plugins, DSB Flux – Bubbles

Lower the opacity to about 28

Activate Top Frame, which should be your top layer
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Kite Script
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Duplicate and on the original – Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Uniform & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 25%

On the copy
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Add the same drop shadow as used earlier

Add your artist copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the white background and BG 1 layers
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 😀
