Can’t Adult

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used LD Jilly Nilly
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Awesome Sauce Mini kit by Karmalized Scraps

I used the awesome artwork of Maryline Cazenave
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Maryline’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 450 x 450 and flood fill with white
Open Frame 01 and resize to 350 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Duplicate and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5

Activate the Frame, hide the Copy of Frame
Select your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside each of the holes in the frame, you may want to zoom in a bit so you can see better

Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Frame Fill
Move below the Frame layer
Open a paper of choice, I used Paper 01
Copy and paste into selection
Keep Selected

Selections, Modify, Contract by 3 pixels
Selections, Modify, Feather by 2 pixels
Activate Copy of Frame and press delete
Selections, None

Activate Frame
Select inside with your Magic Wand, using the same settings
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Sign
Move this below the Frame layer
Open Element 04, copy and paste into the selection
Selections, None Grab your Pick/Deform tool
Hold the CRTL key and position your mouse over the bottom right corner
You will get a 4 headed arrow symbol
Now drag the bottom right corner out until the sign fills the frame

Keep dragging bits out until it fills the frame

Move the Sign layer below the Frame Fill

Activate the Frame layer
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 45 / Blur: 2.97 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open Element 27, copy and paste as a new layer – rename Arrow
Position so you can see the arrow point in the right side of the frame

Duplicate and move the copy down and to the left so you can see the tail of the arrow

With the copy active – layers, Merge, Merge Down – rename Arrow if needed
Add the same drop shadow BUT change the blur to 3.96
Move the Arrow layer below the Sign layer

Open Frame 03 and resize to 450 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Side Frame
Leave it in the middle of your canvas
Ensure this layer is just above your Arrow layer
Grab your magic wand, same settings as before
Select inside the heart you can see to the right of Frame Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Side Frame Back
Move below the Side Frame layer
Copy and paste a paper of choice into the selection, I used Paper 1 again
Selections, None
Erase any Side Frame from the left side of the main Frame
Add a drop shadow to Side Frame, use the same settings BUT change the H to -4 (minus 4)

Activate Copy of Frame
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed, I resized by 45%, all layers unchecked
Position where it looks best
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 4 / Opacity:45 / Blur: 15.84 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Checked
Duplicate the shadow layer
With the top Shadow active, Layers, merge, Merge Down

Activate the Sign
Open Element 34 and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Sign Splat
Position where you think it looks best
Change the blend mode to Screen

Go back to Element 34 and Edit, Undo
Now resize to 450 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Splat
Position on the left side of the Frame
Move below the Arrow layer

Hide the white background layer
Crop to Merged Opaque Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Now Paste as a new layer – rename Blur
Move below the Tube Shadow layer

Increase the canvas size to 550 x 550, central placement selected
With the Blur layer active Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 9
Effects, Texture Effects, Blinds

Change the blend mode to Overlay Reduce the opacity to 46

Activate the tube and duplicate it
On the copy, apply the same Gaussian Blur
Reduce the opacity to about 70

Crop to Merged Opaque again
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used LD Jilly Nilly
Set your foreground and background to the same color
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Stroke width set to 1
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Apply the gradient glow again changing the color
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used: V: 2 / H: -4 / Opacity: 70 / Blur: 0.99 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 😀
