Pink Elephants

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Anthem
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Animation of Choice – I used Animation 1267 from pkg 422 by Rebel Dezigns
IB AnnaMarine Nov 2018 BT kit by Chaos Priestess

I used the awesome artwork of Sheena Pike
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Sheena’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 400 x 400 and flood fill with white
Open Frame 3 and resize to 60%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Image, Free Rotate, Right by 90 degrees
Open a paper of choice – I used Paper2
Resize the paper to 55%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame Back
Move below the Frame back and position where it looks best within the Frame

Select your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Activate the Frame and select inside it
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Selections, Invert
Activate the Frame Back and press delete
Selections, None
Activate the Frame and add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 3 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 6.93 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate the white background layer
Open El24 and resize to 65%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename BG
Using your Manual Color Correction tool (mini tut here)
Recolor to a shade of pink – I used #DA7190

Activate Frame Back
Open El27
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Feather
Position on the left side of the frame, with just some of the feather inside the frame
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 6.93 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate Frame Back
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Activate Feather and press delete
Selections, None

With the Feather layer active
Open El04
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Rose
Position so the flower is at the base of the feather, where it looks best
Add the same drop shadow as used on the feather
Activate Frame Back
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Activate Rose and press delete
Selections, None

Open El03
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Heart
Position so just the heart button is within the frame just above the rose
Add the same drop shadow as just used
Activate Frame Back
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Activate Heart and press delete
Selections, None

Open El08
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Tag
Position where it looks best on the bottom right of the frame
Add the same drop shadow
Activate Frame Back
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Activate Tag and press delete
Selections, None

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if needed, I resized to 35%, all layers unchecked
Position where it looks best
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 6 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 6.93 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Grab your selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select the top part of your tube that is covered by the frame
Selections, Promote Selection to layer
On the original tube layer, press delete
Selections, None
Move the promoted selection above the frame layer

Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Anthem
Set your foreground to null and background set to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Position where it looks best and convert to raster
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as used on the Feather

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Hide the white background and crop away any excess canvas
At this point you can save as a jpg/png

To Animate
Unhide the white background
Activate Frame Back – Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Activate the white background and press delete
Activate the BG and press delete
Selections, None
Hide the following layers: White background, BG, Tube, Frame, Promoted Selection, Name and Credits
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new animation
Stay in AS

Open your animation of choice
Check how many frames your animation has
Duplicate your tag, so it has the same number of frames

Click on the Animation – Edit, Select All, Copy
Note: Before I copied I flipped my animation (Animation, Flip)
On the tag – Edit, Select All, Paste into selected frame
Position where you want it within the tag

Back to PSP
Layers, View, None
Unhide the White background, BG, Tube, Frame, Promoted Selection, Name and Credits
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Over to AS
Edit, Paste as a new animation
Duplicate so it has the same number of frames as your now animated tag
Edit, Copy
On the animated tag – Edit, Select All, Paste into selected frame
Line it up so it sits right
Save as a gif file
All Done 😀
