After Dark

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Bikinis
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
IB Delphine Demers 90-1 by Karmalized Scraps

I used the awesome artwork of Anna Marine
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Anna’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 550 and flood fill with grey #AAAAAA
Open Frame_01 and resize to 350 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Image, Flip

Open Element_08 and resize to 65%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame Back
Move below the Frame layer
Position so it fills the frame and the tattered edge is outside the Frame

Duplicate and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Radial Blur

Change the blend mode to Hard Light

Activate the grey background layer
Open Element_03 and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Net
Position where it looks best behind the Frame/Frame Back layers
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: -1 / H: 2 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 2.97 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open Element_22 and resize to 350 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Tree
Position on the right side of the Frame, below the Net layer

Press Shift + G to open your Gamma Correction tool
Set all 3 values to 0.80

Duplicate and on the copy – Image, Mirror
Position where it looks best on the left
Apply the Gamma Correction, with the same settings
Add the same drop shadow as used on the Net BUT change the blur to 11.88
Add the same drop shadow to the original Tree layer

Activate the Frame layer
Open Element_12 and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Black Roses
Image, Flip
Position along the base of the Frame
Add the same drop shadow as used on the Tree layers

Open Element_20 and resize to 65%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Feather
Image, Free Rotate, Left by 65 degrees
Move below the Black Roses layer and position on the left side of the Frame
Add the same drop shadow

Open Element_17 and resize to 300 pixels high
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Red Rose
Position on the right side of the Frame, below the Black Roses layer
Add the same drop shadow

Activate Copy of Frame Back
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Position so the focal point is within the Frame
Resize if needed
When happy, duplicate
On the original Tube layer, add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: -1 / H: 9 / Opacity: 50 / Blur:7.92 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Lower the opacity to about 40
Erase any of both tube layers, that is outside the Frame
Activate the Frame and add the same drop shadow as ised on the Tube layer
*optional* erase any Frame that is below the Black Roses

Open Wordart_01 and resize to 300 pixels wide
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Wordart
Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top
Position where it looks best
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Duplicate and apply the same Gaussian Blur as used on Copy of Tube
Duplicate the blurred layer
Move one of the blurred layers BELOW the unblurred text and leave one above
On the one below, change the blend mode to Multiply
On the one above lower the opacity to 46
On the middle one (the one without the blur) Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Bikinis
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Add the same drop shadow as used on the Tube

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the grey background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 😀
