Butterfly Beauty

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Morning Glory
VM Extravaganza – Transmission
Mask-Circle and Mask-Blinds1 by Monti
IB-AlenaLazareva-August2018-BT by Curious Creative Dreams

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 500 x 500 and flood fill with grey #AAAAAA
Open fra2 and resize by 75%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Top Frame
Duplicate and rename Middle Frame
Move the Middle Frame below the Top Frame on your layer palette

Activate Middle Frame
Effects, Plugins, VM Extravaganza – Transmission

Duplicate Middle Frame and rename Bottom Frame
Move below the Middle Frame
Apply the Transmission with the same settings to the Bottom Frame

Grab your Change to Target brush with these settings:
Shape: Square / Size: 450 / Hardness, Density, Thickness and Opacity: 100 / Step: 10 / Rotation: 0 / Mode: Color
Set your foreground to a shade of choice from the elements in the kit or your tube
Click once on Bottom Frame
Repeat again if you want a different shade
Then activate Middle Frame and click on that one too
Again repeat if you want a different shade

Activate Top Frame
Grab your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select inside the Top Frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 5 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name it Top Frame Back
Open a paper of choice – I used Pap1
Copy and paste into the selection
Selections, None
Move Top Frame Back below the Top Frame layer

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Position between Top Frame Back and Top Frame
Place the focal point of your tube within the Top Frame
Duplicate your tube
On the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 15
Change the blend mode to Overlay
On the original tube layer, change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
Activate Top Frame Back
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Press delete on both tube layers
Selections, None
Activate Top Frame
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 7 / Opacity: 55 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Checked

Open ele5
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Cloud
Position so just part is visible from behind the Frame
Move below the Top Frame Back layer
Apply the same Gaussian Blur as used on Copy of Tube
Duplicate and on the copy – Image, Mirror, Flip
Position where it looks best

Activate Top Frame
Open ele4 and resize to 50%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Heart
Position on the bottom left side of the Frame
Apply the same drop shadow BUT change the H to 2

Open ele16 and resize to 50%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Pink Flower
Position on the bottom left, overlapping the bottom of the Heart
Apply the same drop shadow

Open ele18 and resize to 50%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Blue Flower
Position on the right, next to Pink Flower
Apply the same drop shadow

Open ele20 and resize to 75%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Ribbon
Position on either of the flowers, where it looks best
Add the same drop shadow again

Open ele2
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Flutters
Erase any you don’t want/need
Position where it looks best
Add the same drop shadow BUT change the opacity to 40

Hide the grey background layer
Crop away all excess canvas
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Paste as a new layer – rename Top
Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top
Increase the canvas size to 500 x 500, central placement selected

Working on Top
Apply the same Gaussian Blur as used before
Duplicate twice, for a total of 3 blur layers
Move the 2 copies to the bottom of the layer palette – Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom

Activate the bottom blur layer
Change the blend mode to Darken
On the next layer up – which should also be a blur layer
Change the blend mode to Multiply
On the Top layer – which should still be at the top of the layer palette
Change the blend mode to Screen and reduce the opacity to 48

Activate the grey background layer
Open a paper of choice – I used Pap5
Resize to 500 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Mask
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Monti-Mask-Circle or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Still on the same layer
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for Monti-Mask-Blinds1 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Duplicate and move the copy between the two tube layer
Change the blend mode to Soft Light and reduce the opacity to 59

Activate the top layer on your layer palette
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Morning Glory
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Add the same drop shadow as used last
Duplicate and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 63

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the grey background layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 😀
