Game On

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used FFX Marquee and Fredly Bold
MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Xero – Porcelain
Toadies – What Are You?
AAA Frames – Foto Frame
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

I used the awesome artwork of Michael Landefeld
You can purchase his work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Michael’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 600 x 250 and flood fill with white
Select your Pen tool with these settings:
Mode: Draw lines & polylines / Create on Vector: Checked / Line style: Solid / Width: 35.00
Set your foreground to a color from your tube, background set to null
Objects, Align, Center In Canvas and convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Choose the *Line preset, at the default settings
Rename this layer Stripes

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Base Tube
Position in the middle of the canvas
Duplicate twice for a total of 3 tube layers
Rename the middle – Blur Tube
Rename the top – Copies Tube

Hide Copies Tube
Activate Blur Tube
Effects, Plugins, Xero – Porcelain
Use the default settings
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Overlay
Activate Base Tube and add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 15 / Opacity: 50 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate Stripes layer
Select your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select between the stripes
Selections, Modify, Expand by 1 pixel
Activate the white background layer – Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
Selections, None
Rename the Promoted Selection – White Stripes

Working on the White Stripes layer
Effects, Plugins, Xero – Porcelain
Use the default settings
Repeat the Porcelain at the default
Repeat the Porcelain again BUT change the blue channel to 0

Set both your foreground and background to the original stripe color
Activate the Stripes layer and duplicate, working on Copy of Stripes
Effects, Plugins, Toadies – What Are You?
Set both values to 10
Change the blend mode to Hard Light

Activate White Stripes
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 25%

Activate and unhide Copies Tube
Effects, MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Set the number to 3

Image, Mirror
Change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
Opacity set to 40
Move Copies Tube below Base Tube

Duplicate the Copies Tube
On Copy of Copies Tube
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
On the original Copies Tube, add the same drop shadow as used before

Activate Copy of Copies Tube
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Paste as a new layer – rename Middle Blur
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 20
Change the blend mode to Screen and reduce the opacity to 73

Crop the canvas to 600 x 250
Increase the canvas size to 850 x 250, central placement selected
Remaining on Middle Blur
Effects, Plugins, AAA Frames – Foto Frame

Crop back to 600 x 250

Select your selection tool, then select Custom Selection

With these settings

Still on Middle Blur – Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
Rename the Promoted Selection – Middle Strip
On the original Middle Blur, press delete
Selections, None
On Middle Strip change the blend mode to Overlay

Activate Middle Strip and add a new layer – name it Frame
Grab your custom selection tool again, with these settings

Flood fill with a dark color of choice
Selections, Modify, Contract by 1 pixel and press delete
Selections, None
Duplicate and on the copy – Image, Flip
With the Copy of Frame active – Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Duplicate and on the original – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 3

Activate Middle Blur
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used FFX Marquee
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your text so it runs through the middle of the canvas
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 0 / H: 2 / Opacity: 90 / Blur: 5.94 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate Blur Tube, which should be your top layer
Select your text tool again and choose another font – I used Fredly Bold
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position were it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Apply the same Inner Bevel as used before
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as used on the previous text layer

Add your artist copyrights and your own tagger watermark as a new layer
Save as a jpg/png
All Done 😀
