Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Animation Shop
Tube of Choice
Font of Choice – I used Phoenix Script
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Mask161 by Millie
Animation of Choice – I used Ani601 from pkg200 by Rebel Dezigns
Rock Me Out mini kit by Curious Creative Dreams

I used the awesome artwork of Ted Hammond
You can purchase his work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Ted’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 600 x 600 and flood fill with white
Open (1), copy and paste as a new layer – rename Base Clock
Duplicate and rename the copy – Clock
Working on Base Time
Effects, Plugins, DSB Flux – Linear Transmission

Repeat the Linear Transmission again with the same settings

Open (16) and resize to 65%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Piano
Position so the bottom of the piano is roughly level with inner part of the clock
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 5 / Opacity: 56 / Blur: 10.89 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Open (23) and resize to 65%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Notes
Position towards the top of the clock
Duplicate, on the Copy of Notes
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
On the original – Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as used on the Piano

Open (F3) and resize to 45%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Frame
Position on the bottom left, level with the outer ring of the Clock
Move below the 2 Note layers
Add the same drop shadow

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize your tube if needed, I left mine at 100%
Add the same drop shadow
Position so part of it will go through the Frame
Ensure there is a little gap above and below the tube, between the tube and Frame
I selected the areas so you can see

Activate and duplicate the Frame – rename the copy Top Frame
Move the copy above the Tube on the layer palette
Now erase any of the Top Frame that is covering the tube where you want it in front of the Frame
I lowered the opacity of the Frame and Selected the area to be deleted

Now erase any of the tube that is outside the frame to the left

Open (W1)
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename WA1
Position along the bottom of your tag, moving below the Tube layer
Duplicate and on the original WA1 layer – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
On the Copy of WA1 – rename WA2
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 80 / Blur: 4.95 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate WA2
Open (29) and resize to 75%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Speaker
Position so it’s on top of the wordart coming out from behind your tube
Add the same drop shadow as used on the Piano layer

Select your Freehand Selection tool with these settings:
Selection type: Point to point / Mode: Add (shift) / Feather & Smoothing: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select the inner part of the speaker

Selections, Promote Selection to Layer – rename Inner Speaker
Effects, Distortion Effects, Pinch

Zoom in and line the Inner Speaker back up where it should be

Activate Notes – which should be your top layer
Open (14)
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Star 1
Position where it looks best and add the same drop shadow as used on the Speaker

Back to (14) and resize to 75%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Star 2
Position where it looks best and add the same drop shadow

Back to (14), keep the size and resize by another 75%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Star 3
Position where it looks best and add the same drop shadow

Open (41) and resize to 25%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Star 4
Position where it looks best and add the same drop shadow

Back to (41), keep the size and resize by another 50%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Star 5
Position where it looks best and add the same drop shadow
Move some of the stars below both Notes layers if required
Keep moving them about until you are happy

Activate the white background layer
Open (37)
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Music Sheet
Position top left of the tag and add the same drop shadow
Duplicate and rename Music Sheet 2
Image, Free Rotate, Right by 30 degrees
Position on the right side of the tag

Activate the white background layer again
Open a paper of choice – I used (1)
Resize to 600 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Mask
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for MPM_mask161 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Duplicate and on the copy, change the blend mode to Multiply and reduce the opacity to 51

Activate the top layer on your layer palette
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Phoenix Script
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, Convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
Use the same settings as previously used
Add the same drop shadow

Add your artist copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Hide the white background and crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png

To Animate
Unhide your white background layer
Hide ALL layers above the WA2 layer
These layers should be visible: white background, Mask, Copy of Mask, Music Sheet, Music Sheet 2, Base Clock, Clock, Piano, Frame, WA1 and WA2
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop (AS)
Edit, Paste as a new animation
Open your animation of choice – I used ani601
Edit, Select All
Animation, Resize to 75%

On your tag, duplicate until it has the same number of frames as the animation
On the animation – Edit, Select All, Copy
On the tag – Edt, Select All, Paste into selected Frame
Position where you want the animation

Back to PSP
Layers, View, None
Now unhide ALL layer above WA2
These should be: Speaker, Inner Speaker, Tube, Top Frame, All Star layers, Notes, Copy of Notes, Name and Credits/Copyrights
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged

Over to AS
Edit, Paste as a new animation
Edit, Paste after current frame
Back to PSP
Hide Inner Speaker layer
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Back to AS
Activate the 2nd frame on what we just paste
Edit, Paste after current frame
Edit, Paste after current frame again

Staying in AS
On the image with 4 frames – Edit, Select All
On your main tag – Edit, Select All
Edit, Propagate Paste
Edit, Paste into selected frame
Save as a gif file
All Done
