Oriental Goddess

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube & Matching Image of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Onaka and Leap Of Faith
VM Extravaganza – Transmission
DSB Flux – Linear Transmission
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

I used the awesome artwork of Misstigri
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Misstigri’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 600 x 600 and flood fill with white
Select your preset shape tool with these settings:
Shape: Rounded Rectangle / Anti-Alias & Create as Vector: Checked / Line style: Solid / Width: 5.00
Set your foreground to a dark color of choice and your background set to null
Draw a rectangle approx 150 x 350
Objects, Align, Center in Canvas
Convert to raster

Draw another rounded rectangle approx 150 x 300 with the same settings
Objects, Align, Center in Canvas
Convert to raster
Effects, Image Effects, Offset

Duplicate and Image, Mirror
Hide the white background and Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Rename Frame

Unhide the white background layer and activate it
Copy and paste your tube image as a new layer – rename Frame Fill
Position within the frame

Duplicate and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
Change the blend mode to Overlay
On the original Frame Fill change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)

Activate the Frame
Grab your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select outside the Frame
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Activate Copy of Frame Fill and press delete
Activate Frame Fill and press delete
Keep Selected
Selections, Invert
Activate the white background layer – Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
Selections, None
Rename the Promoted Selection – White Frame Fill

Activate Copy of Frame Fill
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Position so the focal point is inside the middle section of the Frame

Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 8 / Opacity: 37 / Blur: 10.89 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate White Frame Fill
Selections, All, Float, Defloat, Invert
Activate Tube and press delete
Selections, None

Activate the Frame and select inside the outer frames with your magic wand
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Activate the Tube layer – Selections, Promote Selection to Layer
On the original Tube layer, press delete
Selections, None
On the Promoted Selection – rename Side Tube

On Side Tube – change the blend mode to Soft Light
Duplicate and on the copy – change the blend mode to Dodge, reduce the opacity to 65
Activate Tube and duplicate, on the copy change the blend mode to Overlay

Activate the Frame and select inside the outer frames with your magic wand
Selections, Modify, Expand by 3 pixels
Add a new raster layer – name is Side Fill
Flood fill with a light color of choice
Selections, None
Change the blend mode to Soft Light

Still on Side Fill layer
Effects, Texture Effects, Blinds
Choose a dark color from your tag with these settings

Select your text tool and choose an Asian inspired font – I used Onaka
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Set the direction of your text to Vertical and Left

Add your letters of choice
Position in one of the side frames
Objects, Align, Vertical Center in Canvas

Convert to raster – rename Wordart

Duplicate and on the original
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Activate the copy – Selections, All, Float, Defloat
On the original, press delete
Selections, None
Add a drop shadow of choice to the original – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 37 / Blur: 2.97 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked
On the copy, change the blend mode to Screen and reduce the opacity to 59

Hide the white background
Crop away all excess canvas
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Paste as a new layer – rename Transmission
Increase the canvas size to 600 x 600, central placement selected
Ensure the Transmission layer is below the White Frame Fill

Working on the Transmission layer
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 8
Effects, Plugins, VM Extravaganza – Transmission

Effects, Plugins, DSB Flux – Linear Transmission

Reduce the opacity to 77
Duplicate and move the copy so it’s directly below the Frame layer
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 48

Activate the Frame and duplicate
On the original – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 5
On the copy – Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Uniform & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 40%
Add Noise again BUT with these settings:
Random & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 10%

Select your text tool and choose another font – I used Leap Of Faith
Keep your settings the same, changing the background is required
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as used on Wordart

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done
