Teddy Love

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Fido, Expresso Cafe and Haunted Eyes
Eye Candy 5: Impact – Extrude
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
SIS_Mask_34 by Scrap It Studio (site now closed sorry), but you can download the mask {here}

I used the awesome artwork of Joe Pekar
I purchased this when Joe was signed with GILD, I do not think his art is for sale as tubes anymore
Please do not use Joe’s work unless you already have a license.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 500 x 500 and flood fil with white
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Effects, Plugins, MuRa’s Meister – Copies
Choose the Wallpaper Rotate at the default settings

If the canvas isn’t filled, apply the Copies again
Effects, Distortion Effects, Pixelate

Adjust, Blur, Motion Blur

Duplicate this layer
On the copy – Image, Free Rotate, Left by 90 degrees
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 65
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible – rename Mask

Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for SIS_MASK_34 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to canvas and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize by 85%, all layers unchecked

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Resize if required, I left mine at 100%
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 6 / Opacity: 44 / Blur: 10.89 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Activate the Mask layer
Select your preset shape tool with these settings:
Shape: Ellipse / Anti-Alias & Create as Vector: Checked / Line style: Solid / Width: 5.00
Set your foreground a color of choice, background set to null
Draw a circle behind your tube

Do Not Convert to Raster
Duplicate and hide the original
Working on the copy, convert to raster and rename Circle
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise
Gaussian & Monochrome: Checked / Noise: 15%

Select your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Select outside the Circle
Selections, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
Activate the Mask layer
Selections, Promote Selection to Layer – rename Grey Mask
On the original Mask layer, press delete
Selections, None
On the Grey Mask layer – Adjust, Hue & Saturation, Colorize
H: 147 / S: 0
On the original Mask layer, Duplicate and change the blend mode to Overlay

Activate the Circle layer again
Add the following drop shadow
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 44 / Blur: 10.89 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Checked
Activate the Circle again
Apply the same drop shadow BUT change the V&H to -2 (minus 2)

With the Circle layer active
Select your text tool and choose a bold font – I used Fido
Set your foreground to a dark color, background set to null
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked, stroke set to 1.5
Add your text of choice, I wrote ‘TEDDY LOVE’
Position along the bottom under your tube a little
Do Not Convert to Raster
Duplicate and on the copy – Convert to Raster – rename Text Outline
On the original, click the + sign on the layer palette
On the indented layer, right click and select Properties
Now turn off the stroke color and set the fill to a color of choice
Click OK, then convert to raster and rename Text Fill

Duplicate Text Fill
On the copy – rename Text Extrude
Move this below the Text Fill layer
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 5: Impact – Extrude

Activate the Text Fill again
Apply the same Inner Bevel as used on the circle
Activate Text Outline – ad the same drop shadow as used on the circle, setting the V&H back to 2 (+2) and unchecking the Shadow on new layer box

Unhide the Vector Circle from earlier
Select your text tool again and choose another font – I used Expresso Cafe
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
All other settings the same
Ensure you are on Text Outline layer
Position your mouse over the edge of the vector circle you will get a +A) or +T) symbol
Click and add your text of choice, I wrote ‘and they call it’
Position where it looks best on the circle, convert to raster and rename Circle Text
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as used on the Text Outline BUT set the H to 0
You can delete the vector circle layer

Increase your canvas size to 600w x 1000h
Select top center as the placement

Hide the white background layer
With your Tube active – this should be the top layer
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible to New Layer
Rename the merged layer – Reflection
Image, Flip
Now move the Reflection layer up on the canvas so it butts up with the other layers

Grab your Pick/Deform Tool and drag the Reflection up
You want it about half the size it was

Crop away all excess canvas
Increase the canvas size to 600 x 600, central placement selected
Working on Reflection – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 1
Reduce the opacity to 75
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom

Activate your Tube again
Select your text tool again and choose another font – I used Haunted Eyes
Keep your settings the same, changing the background color if required
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, Convert to raster
Add the same Gradient Glow, changing the color if required
Add the same drop shadow as used on Circle Text BUT set the H to 2

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done
