Kiss My At•ti•tude

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Dream Orphans, Distoria and Buttella Script
Tramages – Tow The Line
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
DD_AssortedMask_3 by Dee
Textures of Choice – I used oh_freckle_124 (1) and Newspaper Texture (6)
Brush of Choice – I used Pretty Stars 1

I used the awesome artwork of Elias Chatzoudis
You can purchase his work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Elias’ work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Before we start, open your mask of choice in PSP and minimise it
Open a new canvas 450 x 450 and flood fill with white
Add a new raster layer – rename it Mask 1
Selections, All
Open a paper/texture of choice – I used oh_freckle-124 (1)
Copy and paste into the selection
Selections, None

Duplicate and rename the copy Mask 2
Working on Mask 2
Effects, Plugins, Tramages – Tow The Line

Still on Mask 2
Layers, New Mask Layer, From Image
In the drop down menu look for DD_AssortedMask_3
Source luminance: Checked

Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Change the blend mode to Soft Light – Rename Mask 2
Activate Mask 1 and apply the same mask with the same settings
Layers, Merge, Merge Group – Rename Mask 1

Activate the white background layer
Copy and paste your first tube as a new layer
Position where it looks best behind the masks
Apply the mask to the Tube layer, with the same settings
Layers, Merge, Merge Group – rename Base Tube
Duplicate and move the copy up on your layer palette, so it’s above the 2 Mask layers
Change the blend mode to Overlay and reduce the opacity to 53

Activate Mask 1
Copy and paste your newspaper texture as a new layer
Apply the same mask with the same settings
Layers, Merge, Merge Group – rename Mask 3
Change the blend mode to Hard Light and reduce the opacity to 51

Add a new raster layer – name it Brush
Select your brush tool and choose a brush – I used Pretty Stars 1
These are my settings:

Set your foreground to white and click once on your canvas where you want your brush
When happy, apply the same mask again with the same settings
Layers, Merge, Merge Group – rename Brush
Duplicate and on the copy, change the blend mode to Hard Light and reduce the opacity to 57

Activate Copy of Base Tube
Copy and paste your second tube of choice as a new layer
Position on one side of the masked area

I mirrored my tube as she was facing the wrong way for my tag
Apply the same mask, with the same settings
Layers, Merge, Merge Group – rename Top Tube
Change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)

Delete the white background layer
Activate Top Tube – Layers, Merge, Merge Visible to New Layer
On the Merged layer – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 10
Duplicate this layer – on the copy – rename BG
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
On the original Merged layer – rename Top Blur
Change the blend mode to Hard Light and reduce the opacity to 65

Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Dream Orphans
Set your foreground to null, background to white
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Add your text of choice, I wrote ‘at·ti·tude’
Position where it looks best and convert to raster – rename Text 1
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V&H: 2 / Opacity: 35 / Blur: 4.95 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Select another font – I used Distoria
Keep your settings the same BUT change the background color to a color of choice
Add your text, I wrote ‘kiss my’
Position above or below Text 1, where it looks best
When happy, Convert to raster and rename Text 2
Apply the same drop shadow

Select another font – I used Buttella Script
Keep your settings the same BUT again change the background to color to one of choice
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, Convert to raster and rename Name
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Duplicate and on the original – Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient
Choose the Diffuse setting under the Color tab

On the copy, add the same drop shadow as previously used

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done
