I Love Fall

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Mail Ray Stuff, FFF Games and The Feeling
Eye Candy 6: Text Selection – Glass
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
WSL_Mask145 by Chelle

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 150 x 400 and flood fill with white
Selections, All, Modify, Contract by 3 pixels and press delete
Selections, None
If you don’t have your Rulers turn on – View, Rulers
Select your pen tool with these settings:
Mode: Draw lines & polylines / Create on Vector: Checked / Line style: Solid / Width: 3.00
Set your foreground to white, background set to null
Hold your shift key and draw a horizontal line at 100 down
*Note* I have my frame black just for the screen shot so you can see it

Draw anther line at 200, then one more at 300
Convert to raster
You should have something similar to this

Select your paintbrush tool with these settings:
Shape: Square / Size: 100 / Hardness, Density, Thickness and Opacity: 100 / Step: 1 / Rotation: 0 / Blend mode: Normal
Keep your foreground on white
Fill in the bottom section with your paintbrush
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Rename this layer Frame

Increase your canvas size to 550 x 550, central placement selected
Add a new raster layer – name it Background
Flood fill with grey #929292

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer – rename Tube
Position within the frame where it looks best
Duplicate and on the copy – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 9
Change the blend mode to Overlay

Grab your Magic Wand with these settings:
Mode: Add (shift) / Match Mode: RGB Value / Tolerance & Feather: 0 / Contiguous & Anti-Alias: Checked
Activate the Frame and click outside it
Selections, Modify, Expand by 2 pixels
Press delete on both tube layers
Selections, None

Activate the Frame layer
Select your text tool and choose a font – I used Mail Ray Stuff
Set your foreground to a color of choice, Background set to null
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Stroke width set to 2
Type out ‘FALL’ or word of choice and position in the bottom section of the frame
When happy with the position, convert to raster and rename Text
Grab your Magic Wand again with the same settings
Click inside each letter
Selections, Modify, Expand by 2 Pixels
Activate Frame and press delete
The press delete on Copy of Tube and Tube
Keep Selected
Activate Text and add a new raster layer – rename Glass
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 6: Text Selection – Glass

Move the Glass layer right down so it’s just above the background layer on your layer palette
Selections, None

Activate the Frame
Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 2 / H: 3 / Opacity: 66 / Blur: 6.93 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Checked

Delete the Background layer
Crop away all excess canvas
Edit, Copy Special, Copy Merged
Paste as a new layer – rename Left
Duplicate and rename Right
On the Left layer – Image, Free Rotate, Left 10 degrees
Line the bottom left corner up with the bottom left corner of the original layers

On the Right layer – Image, Free Rotate, Right 14 degrees
Line the bottom right corner up with the bottom right corner of the original layers
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Do the same with the Left layer

Activate Left
Select your Change to Target brush with these settings:
Shape: Square / Size: 500 / Hardness, Density, Thickness and Opacity: 100 / Step: 10 / Roatation: 0 / Mode: Color
Set your foreground to grey #929292
Click once over the Left layer

Activate the Right layer and duplicate
On the original, Click once with your Change to Target brush (same settings)
On the copy – change the blend mode to Overlay

Select your Selection Tool with these settings:
Selection type: Rectangle / Mode: Add (Shift) / Feather: 0 / Anti-Alias: Checked
Select around the Text

Press delete on Left, Right and Copy of Right
Selections, None

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a complimentary color of choice
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for WSL_Mask145 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Resize to 90%, all layers unchecked
Image, Free Rotate, Left 90 degrees
Duplicate and on the original – Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – radius set to 9

Using your selection tool with the same settings as before
Select around the text again
Press delete on both Mask and Copy of Mask layers
Selections, None

Activate the top layer
Select your text tool and choose a pixel font of choice – I used FFF Games
Set your foreground to null, background to a color of choice
Create as vector: Checked / Anti-Alias: OFF
Type out ‘I love’
Position above the Fall text where it looks best and convert to raster

Still with your text tool, choose another font – I used The Feeling
Set your foreground to null and your background to a color of choice
Create as vector: Checked / Anti-Alias: ON
Add your name
Image, Free Rotate, Left by 90 degrees
Position along the left edge of the Frame where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Add the same drop shadow as used before

Add your artists copyrights and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done
