Woodland Friends

Supplies needed:
PSP – I used X9 but any version will do
Tube of Choice
Fonts of Choice – I used Don Jose Black and Austellia
Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow
TBT Mask 11 and 12 by Tonya
Mask008 by Me
ColorPop 5 by Karmalized Scraps

I used the awesome artwork of Jasmine Beckt-Griffith
You can purchase her work and a license from CDO
Please do not use Jasmine’s work without purchasing a license first.

Let’s Start
Open a new canvas 550 x 550 and flood fill with white
Open a paper of choice – I used Paper (4)
Resize to 550 pixels
Copy and paste as a new layer
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for TBT_Mask11 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Rename Mask 1

Open another paper of choice – I used Paper (2)
Resize to 550 pixels and copy and paste as a new layer
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for TBT_Mask12 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Rename Mask 2
Image, Resize to 90%, all layers Unchecked
Duplicate Mask 2, rename the copy Mask 3
Hide both Mask 2 and Mask 3 for now

Activate Mask 1 and add a new layer – rename Clock
Selections, All
Open Element (20)
Copy and paste into the selection
Selections, None
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask from Disk
Look for JustFi_Mask008 or mask of choice
Source luminance, Fit to layer and Hide all mask: Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group and rename Clock again
Change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy) and reduce the opacity to 59

Open Element (28)
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Flower Bunch
Position so the flowers are toward the bottom of the Clock area

Add a drop shadow of choice – I used:
V: 4 / H: 10 / Opacity: 41 / Blur: 9.90 / Color: Black / Shadow on new layer: Unchecked

Unhide Mask 2, this should be above Flower Bunch
Activate Mask 2
Open Element (45)
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Wood Block
Position so it’s covering most of the stem and part of the flowers on Flower Bunch
Add the same drop shadow

Open Element (30) and resize to 65%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Branch
Position so the curve of the branch is a little below the top of Wood Block

Add the same drop shadow

Open your tube of choice and resize if needed, I resized to 65%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Tube
Position where it looks best
When happy the placement of your tube, add the same drop shadow

Open Element (19) and resize to 65%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename Light
Position about 1/2 way up the Wood Block

Add the same drop shadow again

Open Element (5) and resize to 55%
Copy and paste as a new layer – rename String Balls
Position covering the bottom of the light, level with the base of your tube
Add the same drop shadow
Unhide Mask 3, which should be your top layer
Change the blend mode to Soft Light

Select your text tool and choose a font – I used: Don Jose Black
Set your foreground to null, background to a color/paper/gradient of choice
I used Paper (9)
Create as vector and Anti-Alias both checked
Type your text of choice, I wrote ‘WOODLAND FRIENDS’
Position where it looks best and convert to raster
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel

Duplicate the text layer and on the original
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 4000 – Gradient Glow

Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur – Radius set to 2
On the copy of text, apply the same drop shadow BUT change the the H to 4

Select your text tool again and choose another font – I used Austellia
Keep your settings the same, changing the background color if needed
Add your name and position where it looks best
When happy, convert to raster
Apply the same gradient glow, changing the glow color if needed
Add the same drop shadow

Add your artists copyrights, scrap credits and your own taggers watermark as a new layer
Delete the white background
Crop away any excess canvas
Save as a jpg/png
All Done
